AO Nang Viva Resort staff are exceptional in customer service! We had issues with our room and they found us a better room immediately. Throughout our stay they were kind, helpful and available. The dining area is very nice and breakfast was good with choices for Asian and western tastes. Good coffee too! The pool was a nice area to hang out at with water slides and a bar. The room had good AC and fridge. Beach totes and towels were provided which was great! The room was clean which we appreciated. The hotel is central to both beaches and 15 min to walk. Lots of restaurants and 7 eleven and laundry services close by. The rooms were lacking for comfort and atmosphere and could use some updating. The first room we got had some issues so we were moved to another room which was better. The mattresses were very hard, no chairs in the room, the bathroom was awkward with the door cutting the bathroom in half. The shower was a handheld so you couldn’t stand under it well and water sprayed all over the bathroom floor. The sink had a big crack and the faucet sprayed over the side if you turned on all the way. The lighting was really bad in the bathroom and to see in the mirror impossible so had to hold a hand held mirror by the balcony to get light enough for a bit of makeup application. The towels were thin and old and needed replacing. The safe was not bolted down and the balcony door lock seemed inadequate for security.

the bed and sheets were among the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The shower pressure and temperature control was better than many places I've stayed at in Thailand for similar price. The pool bar served incredible food and drinks and I loved the bench seating. I really liked the rooms with polished concrete and cozy bowl chairs. The extra sandals, bag and safe were nice touches. It was a bit loud in the pool area near my room in the evening with the music. This made it hard for me to relax in my room. Maybe it could be better controlled how late the music / dj is playing music.

Loved access to the pool from my room. Bar area was as nice, ability to order food was nice. Breakfast could have been better. More fruit options.

This hotel is a great value for the price. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the pool area is clean and well-maintained. We had a pool access room, and the pool from our room was separate from the main pool. The water in our pool was a bit cold, but the main pool was a nice temperature.

The room itself was a great size, huge bed which was very comfortable. The breakfast was a good range and fresh. Staff here were attentive and polite. We loved the refreshing welcome drink. We loved the beach bag and towels provided but did not use the flip flops. A/C worked well and plenty of space to store our luggage. The location was good, near plenty of restaurants and a few 7/11's. The walk to the beach is not too far and there are loads of places to get your souvenirs. The pool though a little small was a great addition. Be careful to ensure you book a room that is in the main hotel and not across the road. We made sure we did, however, some guests didn't check and we witnessed the poor reception staff be verbally abused by rude guests upon arrival. The staff remained so professional but we felt very bad for them! The room seemed dated, in particular the bathroom. For the price we paid I expected better. The mirror was cracked and rusting. The shower seemed grubby. Overall, it needs some TLC. If you wanted a drink, or snacks it was quite pricey though I suppose this should be expected. The pool area was quite smaller than we're used to, often monopolized by the same group of people who were reserving all the beds from 6-7 in the morning and weren't even using them all day! They were a very rude group of Dutch tourists which did ruin it a little for us, especially when they would leave piles of rubbish by the pool which attracted ants. Be prepared to be hassled when leaving the hotel. Men will constantly hound you to try and get you in their shops. If you want Thai food you'll have walk further away from where the hotel is to reach anywhere which resembles where the locals are. This area did not feel like Thailand to us, more of a trip to Benidorm

I found it was expensive for what it was. ´Tis the season. But he people were very nice except there was no exception for us to take a couple pieces of fruit to have for breakfast the day we left (we had to leave an hour before the breakfast opened. )

It was in a pretty good location The beds were hard and not much for services.

Second year I stay here, I love the big room, huge comfy bed, laundry service on point always, and everything works well. Staff are also super nice and I love the breakfast Phuket and Krabi are a bit on the pricey side but I guess it's to be expected more and more

Large room on upper floor so it is quiet during the day. Fruits and others are fine except for hot food. Sewage smell is strong around hotel and room. May be this is at the natural condition around the beach town. Electrical outlets not working in room. One two outlets working to charge devices. The high bed platform is hard to get in/out of bed on one side specially at night. You pretty much has to standup on the platform and then step down.

Good location, alongside all the other hotels, short walk from the beach and the 7/11 for snacks.

Area was good, breakfast was good. Nice room. Good staff.

So, the bathroom shower head had an issue with the pressure and the temperature. It needed to be regulated, and sometimes the pressure of the water was low.

We stayed here for a week. The location was excellent, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Highly recommend.
