This hotel is in an amazing location with a nice sized outside balcony. You do have a very distant view of the ocean way out past miles of natural undeveloped dryish fields which creates an interesting view. You are on a busy road but the windows are well sealed so it isn't loud. One night we heard a lot of cheering from the bar below, but later learned this was due to Knicks heading into the NBA and completely understandable :) and probably not typical. Going out the back of the hotel you are right into the beautiful white alleyways with many many shops and restaurants just 3 steps away so you can easily wander. The hotel has a very nice restaurant with fresh baked goods and an extensive menus with many items. The restaurant itself is open air and quite pretty with the option for breakfast with the room that is very affordable. There are many other options for coffee and eating in very easy walking distance (minutes) as well. Walk back on the main alley past the chapel for some great (but not cheap) places like Drakakis. There is daily room cleaning, and a pretty little inner atrium with greenery and seating as well as a little shop by the front desk/restaurant. The people were extremely friendly and nice. Beds were comfortable and they had blow driers in each room. From this central location you can drive to all kinds of beaches and little towns. Some of the beaches are more sandy and developed with umbrellas, restaurants and lounge chairs, and some are more natural (like Saralia) and can be beautiful for snorkeling. I personally preferred the more natural ones without lounge chairs and umbrellas but those tend to be more rocky which can make it harder to enter without boating shoes and harder to change unless you are willing to do a quick change under a sarong or such. This is just a heads up that the shower drain closes if you turn it (even inadvertantly). I didn't realize this and the shower kept flooding the floor. It was because I was rotating clockwise to rinse my hair and inadvertantly closing the drain with my feet as I rotated, which was flooding the floor. So if you rotate to rinse, do it in both directions :)

Little bit of road noise being near main intersection. Booking.com breakfast for $16 not offered.

The location is very central The staff weren’t very attentive

It's a sweet hotel connected to a delicious bakery and cafe right across from the bus stop and around the corner from the Steno (Apollonia's main drag). Also just off a main hiking route for those so oriented. Nice balcony, large enough room to open your suitcase without tripping over it. The matresses were a little soft and un-springy, but we slept just fine

I loved the location of the hotel in the capital town of Apollonia with picturesque hilly walkways. The cafe at the base of the hotel provided a lovely breakfast with fresh pastries at the bakery. I'd recommend this stay, especially given the bus location is right in front, ideal for visiting the entirety of Sifnos! Nothing worth the value of the stay!

Fantastic location, wonderful staff, great food, beautiful room and amazing patio. Bonus: a handful of new kittens!

Bus stop infront of hotel. Nice cafe first floor. Bakery round corner. We hiked several trails and took bus back. Perfect location. Walking distance to many restaurants. Terrace was nice facing mountain. Liked everything

Comfortable and calm room with nice terrace. Amazing location, just in front of the bus stop and close to restaurants and shops! Breakfast was super good and plentiful!

Beautiful room, mine had a little balcony, immaculately clean with fresh decor. Comfortable bed, nice linens, abundant large towels, and good temperature control. This is a family run business and the owners are very nice and savvy. They have the hotel, its restaurant, and a couple of shops that sell beautiful pastries and ice cream. Plenty of restaurants very close by, and two markets up the town walkway, maybe 0.5km. Apollonia is central to everywhere on the island, which is why I chose it. Use the bus system; there's a stop at the hotel, and another maybe 50 meters away. I visited Gialos and Faros, and was glad I stayed in Apollonia.

Horns honking but expected for location. Room has limited space, but worked perfect for what we needed which was just sleeping.

Lovely decorated room, great bed, wonderful view, fine bed. Tiny room, you had to move sideways around the bed. Same for the bathroom: sosmall that you had to climb over the toilet to get into the shower.

Great location, wonderful view from the room and the little balcony. Room beautifully decorated. Nice shower. Fine bed. The room was só small that I had to move sideways around the bed and onto the balcony. Also the bathroom is só small that you have to climb around the toilet to get into the shower.

Charming little hotel. We had a good size room with a little sitting area and fridge, and a great view over the countryside. A lovely restaurant downstairs was perfect for breakfast and was open all day for other freshly made meals. There is a little market shop as well, selling traditional sweets made there and other delicious edibles. The staff were excellent, very helpful and welcoming. Parking at a free lot around the corner.

Good location for the buses and local bakery.. Bright, airy room, friendly staff. Able to get in early. Very pleasant.

The location is excellent, right in front of the main bus stop in Apollonia, which was so handy for us as we relied on buses for travelling around the island. Yes it is on the main road but this was never an issue for us. We loved having breakfast in the breakfast room overlooking the island. Our room was just what we needed, and had a lovely balcony. The owner is excellent, incredibly friendly and helpful - we couldn't have asked for more! Nothing, it was all great!

Anthousa Hotel was my favorite accommodation when I recently visited 4 Greek Islands solo. Great friendly staff, excellent restaurant and my room was perfect with a balcony where I could watch the sunrise. Located right at the bus stop with hiking trails right outside the door. If I return to Sifnos, I will definitely stay here again! There was nothing that I did not like about the hotel.
