Lovely location, nice comfortable room/ suite. Very clean amd gorgeous loch view Dinner was very disappointing. Langoustines inedible. Food heavy, more like pub food. Had expected a finer dining experience. Breakfast very poor. Fruit choice very limited, one rasher of bacon, one sausage, a bit mean. Not great value for money

Great location. New owners but bedrooms need upgrading Good Breakfast. Dinner menu restricted but good quality.. Lovely area and good for walking. Small ferry boat to Lismore Island Great venue at nearby Pier House Hotel and Restaurant Size of meal at Dinner was very small and expensive. Very steep staircase from 1st to 2nd Floor

We really liked the staff (professional and attentive), the view while the room was cosy. The bathroom is a bit too old style but still appropriate.

Very poor stay. We felt that we were staying in Fawlty Towers! Here is a list of the things that were below par... and we were glad that we only had 1 night stay 1) The Sea Bream was off - i.e. it was served, but stank and was off. We were then informed that all the Sea Bream was turning. No apology was given. But an offer for another course - I passed. 2) The menu was promises - i.e. lots of things 'unavailable'. 3) Staff at dinner, when they were around.. stood and stared. We felt we were on suicide watch. 4) Ice cream was served in super hot plates (as in too hot to touch!).. really? 5) Dining experience was 'enjoyed' by a symphony of noise.. largely cutlery and staff setting the tables for breakfast.. at 7pm. 6) Could not enjoy the views outside because the front hedge was over grown 7) On walking out of the hotel.. you need to call a phone number to be let back in! I was locked out for 10 mins 8) Rooms a tired and requires maintenance Overall it was an extremely disappointing stay. Very over priced and strongly recommend looking for an alternative.

Very charming accommodation and picturesque location! Very comfortable bed, spacious room, we had an incredible view from our bed. Wonderful cheerful, friendly and helpful staff. Amazing breakfast, good dinner. Good parking lot. Walkable to the pier & a nice restaurant there, a little store and beautiful art/gift shop. Short drive to views of Castle Stalker, walking trail, and ferry to Isle of Lismore. Ceilings were quite low in some spots, the staircase to the 3rd floor was tight and awkward (charming but functionally a challenge), cleaning of bathroom could be a bit better (recognizing the age of the place).

Quiet location, good off-road parking, excellent breakfast. Bar was tiny, no draught beer, young Australian waitress tried too hard and her "cow-towing" and strident voice became monotonous. The seafood sharing platter for two people had only three (indivisible by 2) langoustines and was delivered without any plates to eat from. Room was cold on entry although outside temperature was 23C. Heated towel rail didn't appear to work. Cracked tiles on the bathroom floor. Menu was very limited. "Venison" pie was possibly minced beef. A friend had visited several times previously but this was not the place he described or recommended - perhaps there has been a change of ownership. The Pier House at Port Appin is infinitely superior.

Fabulous location and the views were stunning. Room was large and they had a lovely garden to sit relax and enjoy the view. Bathroom was terrible. Shower was not in good working order at all - falling off wall and tepid. Damp patches on the ceiling and carpet had stains. Woken up at 6 every morning by people above us running around. Breakfast was just ok. Hotel charged premium price but quality very low.
