Nothing The advert gave the impression that the property was on the sea in Lerici. The property is on a mountain in Arcola. Nothing to do with Lerici. The owner knows this and told us if he said the truth no one will book the property!!!

+clean room +comfortable bed +quiet, peaceful region +good breakfast with sweet croissants, bread juice and coffee -no ocean view like the pictures suggest (!!!) -no wifi in room:before the host left for aperitivo in a hurry after our checkin at 6pm he did not tell us the code, so even if we had the WIFI code we could not have used it, we had no reception in the room either -some black mold in shower -shower door does not close completely -glued together toilet seat -host not speaking English can lead to miscommunication: When you come to this accomodation whatever you do, do not lock the doors or close the windows! In the middle of the night we were ripped out of sleep by loud banging and swearing by the window next to our bed (which initially scared us as we did not know who it was). Reason for this being when the host returned (presumably from the aperitivo with his other guests) they did not seem to have the key to the house. Before, we were alone on the premises had locked the house and closed all windows for safety reasons & because of the aggressive moskitos in this region. Before the host had left after checkin we thought he said we should close the windows and lock the doors before we leave but we could have understood him wrongly since we only know few italian words. We tried calling him to ask but he never answered the phone. Communication the next day was not easy, but worked with a translator app. The next morning the host prepared us a breakfast with sweet crossants, bread juice and coffee. He apologised for the outburst. He explained he does not close windows there and prefers the feeling similar to camping. However, we still feel the reaction was very unprofessional.

The location is extremely quiet with fabulous view of the mountains. The landlord is an extremely pleasant man. The accommodation is perhaps a little on the rustic side. I would probably stay there again if the WIFI was improved and the toilet seat was changed. The toilet seat was broken. It needs to be replaced. The WIFI was poor to non-existent.

Owner was friendly and put on a good breakfast. The shared living area (we were the only ones there) was spacious and a nice place to sit. Cheaper option in the area, but not as good value as some country stays we have had. Room was very small, no room to open a suitcase. Shower small and bit mouldy with spiders and spider webs in it.
