Hotel California

No internet at all. When i asked about it. I was told: “Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t”. The tv does not work. I set the temperature of the room to 19C and it was still hot.

Cleanliness, very helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast, NOT for diabetics though. Breakfast was made up almost exclusively of cakes and sweets brimming with sugars. No WIFI connection in the room. You have to go upstairs and ask the receptionists to give you access to the WIFI of the reception room which they will gladly do. But once in your room you are totally cut off from WIFI. However TV channels works fine but NOT NETFLIX.

Tasty croutons at breakfast. Friendly stuff and very helpful owner. Clean, not long way from Ciampino airport, but taxi is expensive form this small distance, about 40 euros and more. Walking distance to 4 supermarkets in the same area. Very tasty pizza to take away or quick bite there. Caffe, ice cream, bakery in the same area all. Very industrial area. Even if the train station is close (8 minutes by walking) and grocery store and caffe (10 minutes by walking), you should walk on roads, no walking place. It was challenging and difficult for me with 2 small kids.

Breakfast. Only Sweet meal every day. No one day eggs, or ham or Salami on the table in 9 days. That is Not normal. Nothing saltty

Great variety and tasty breakfast. Room cleaned daily. Very friendly staff! The location of the hotel is close to the train station and there is also a store nearby, but its located in an industrial city so there is not much to do at night

It is a difficult location if you’re without a car, but that’s more reflection of my own planning and not the hotel. It was a very nice hotel. ?

The Fragrance in the property was everywhere.. even on the stairs, breakfast was pretty impressive with multiple eating and drinking options. All the food options in breakfast were sweet. I got the room which has low roof.. so, it was difficult to walk in the room.

Basically all was good. The personnel was helpful and kind, daily cleaning was done regularly and in good quality. Airconditioning was working well and saving us from daily heat. The breakfast might come too sweet for North Europeans like us, but I see this just as a different/new experience and lovers of sweets will be delighted - the buns and cakes were of very good quality.

Easy to get to on foot from the train station. Clean comfortable and quiet. Lovely breakfast selection. I wanted to return on my way to Abruzzo, but managed to leave Fiumicino early enough to get to my final destination

Hotel in a quiet area approx 5-10 mins walk from Cancelliera railway station, not far from the airport by car or the centre of Rome 35mins by train. Local bar & bistro just around the corner. Friendly host Good size comfortable room with a clean bathroom & OK shower Very good WIFI Air con which was needed as a very warm day Basic breakfast from 06.30: tea/coffee/orange juice/cereals/yoghurt/pastries & biscuits Could hear other people talking or the TV through the walls

Location vs. price Quiet location Hotel stuff Hotel room Near to the centre of Roma (30 mins to the main train station Roma Termini, price: 2.10€) Train station 800 metres from hotel Taxi to the airport Ciampino (be aware of the high price - for 12 km to the airport is price 45€-50€) Breakfast which was only sweet - we missed e.g. some vegetable, ham, bread, etc. Some of the guests were really noisy (but it wasnt hotel problem).

Location wise it's perfect to get to Ciampino Airport with only a 20 minute drive and close to town centre of Ariccia. The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate so not much happening around but perfect for an overnight stay. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom very well sized. The receptionists both on our late arrival and a very early morning departure were very nice and check in and check out were easy. Highly recommended. Must also recommend the Trattoria Pizzeria Pappamondo close-by (by car). The strong smell of cigarettes in our room. Unfortunately being non smokers this was a tad annoying but through no fault of the hotel, it was the only room available!

The breakfast had an excellent selection of sweets and of course coffee and tea and juice. The location is easily accessible by train from Rome or Ciampino. Very minor inconvenience but the breakfast could benefit from something salty like baked products.
