Don't drink the water. Otherwise a solid place to stay. There is a Bass Pro shop with a sit down restaurant inside right next to the hotel.

Place was dirty. It had an odor. The bedding was dirty looking. The bed also looked like someone tried to make it up then laid on top of the comforter. Chair leg was broken.

They provided 1 towel and nothing else, there was roaches and the fees listed for pets are 5$ a night. They charged me 62$ there was alot of transient people and they don't clean up the pet crap all over the grass. It was a awful experience

I chose the location due to its proximity to Kings Dominion. I have had decent stays in other Woodspring Suites in the past. The staff at the front desk was friendly. There was no soap supplied in the bathroom, and the shower sprayed stray water to the side and made the floor wet beyond the bath mat. The in-suite kitchen had absolutely no kitchen items - completely empty. The toilet did not function, as in, it did not seem to be properly plumbed. No water came into the tank from the spigot at the base. Yes I checked, it was on and open. And the tank was bone dry, like it was never hooked up to a water source to begin with.

I liked the location. And, I liked the price, that's about it. Unauthorized Charges and Unprofessional Conduct – Avoid This Hotel at All Costs!!! I recently stayed at WoodSping Suites Ashland, VA and was extremely disappointed by the hotel's handling of my checkout and billing. While the room itself was adequate during our stay, the experience was ruined by two unauthorized charges to my credit card after we checked out, combined with shockingly poor customer service. One day after departure, a $1.53 charge appeared on my card with no explanation. This was followed by a $250 "smoking charge." I have not smoked in over 36 years and did not smoke in the room or anywhere on the property. There was zero evidence of smoking, and no one contacted me during or immediately after my stay to discuss any concerns. When I called the hotel directly to resolve this, the manager was confrontational, repeatedly talked over me, refused to provide any explanation for either charge, other than stating that I smoked in the room and ultimately hung up on me. I raised my voice and was getting very irritated because I was simply asking for clarification, but she became irritated when I pressed for answers, said "You'll have to contact Choice Hotels corporate office." and then hung up on me. I did escalated the matter by filing a formal complaint with the corporate office and disputing both charges with my credit card company, which I also cancelled for security. This feels like a blatant attempt to extract extra fees from guests with no legitimate basis. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic customer respect is unacceptable. I strongly recommend travelers look elsewhere and protect themselves by documenting everything and monitoring their statements closely. I will be pursuing this matter further until the charges are reversed. Potential guests deserve better.

Everything was really great and nice I love it

We found a bed bug in our room. Sheena was very attentive and moved us but the other lady was very rude and could have cared less.

Nice place for the money and room has a full kitchen with stove. My family enjoyed stay here.

We booked our room last minute. We got checked in which was super easy. Our room was decently clean but there was no shampoo/conditioner/ body wash or even hand soap. I walked back down to the lobby and she handed me everything I needed. The tv never worked. It kept saying no signal. I tried to call down to the desk and no answer. I tried calling the after hour number provided and no answer. I walked back down to the lobby and the roll top was pulled down so I couldnt talk to anyone. Then on the way back up to my room the key cards would not work. Good thing I left my husband in the room because he had to come get me. Overall the stay wasn't bad. Room was decently clean but I wouldn't choose to go back there.

The sheets on some of the pillows were dirty and the whole place smelled of cigarettes and weed even though they claim it’s non smoking. Definitely wouldn’t return.

This Hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff working was excellent and were very friendly my whole stay. Something to note is you will need your key card to even get in the front door when you are first checking in they will have to buzz you in or there is a phone for you to call to the front. I overall enjoyed my stay and would revisit.

The location was good and it was the room was clean When I arrive had to wait for 7 minutes for someone to come to the front desk and I asked to check in a little earlier the lady tells me no without even checking then I asked to use the restroom and she tells me no cause they don’t have a public bathroom. So I came back at 10pm to check in and again there is no one at the front desk, had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to check me in. The room didn’t have no shampoos and only two towels. It was super noisy with loud music and some beat across from my room. The staff were not helpful at all. Not staying there again.

Where to start? Realized we had no shower curtain at 7:00 am. Reception was closed until 9:00. Tried calling on phone provided; message said there was no voicemail box so don’t bother. Hallways smelled absolutely horrible; elevator smelled like wet dog. Loud party across the hall at 2:00 am and paper thin doors/walls. Of course nobody around to stop it. Fire alarm went off and whole fire dept came because carpet cleaner set fire to hallway due to faulty wiring. Truly the bottom of the barrel. Even Motel 6 would be better option, which is not saying much.

Let’s start by saying the staff are really nice. But the halls smelled like dog pee all the time, the place also smelled of pot. And I was there for a little over a month and never had my room cleaned once. Also the person above me was so loud at all hours of the night. So sleep was not great. I even told the staff and she was talked to but that didn’t help her to stop.
