Holiday Inn Express Astana - Turan by IHG

I initially booked this hotel because I urgently needed to stay somewhere as my booking at apartments were just cancelled due to various reasons. So this hotel came in handy. I booked and within 30 minutes I already checked in. And the staff were really courteous to me as they provided me a spare mini bar where I could put my medicines. So I was really relieved. I liked everything from the breakfast menu, its location, staff and the interior design. And it would be really good to equip the rooms with little fridges/mini bars that are really needed. Especially during such kind of heat.

Breakfast choices were diverse and overall good for the stay. Staff a bit cold although correct and responsive.

Location Dining to small to handle all the guests. Bits of it need refurbishment.

Hotel is very clean with good breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is also good. There is a huge supermarket next to the hotel which is open 24 hours. nothing

The property was good, clean, with a good location. Then, the whole process of checking-in and moving out was smooth enough. The staff was friendly and able to help during the whole period of my stay. For instance, at the end of my stay I had to print my ticket for a plane and a staff at the reception helped me with this task easily. The air conditioning system wasn’t working. However, it was okay for me. The average temperature in the room was roughly 26°C. Also there was a little wind blowing from the windows, which was decreasing the temperature during nights. However, it also wasn’t a big deal for me.

Staff answered my questions.Bar works 24/7 so I could buy water in the night.Pretty much it. I travel 4 times a month.I have even already been to another holiday inn and believe me,was never fined for a towel…I have been to many different hotels but it’s the first time I was actually fined for partiality colouring bath towel (I have bright hair and every time I wash it the colour appears on the towel) But if you wash it at least once it disappears-wow,isn’t it? So if you choose this hotel it’s better to take your own towel,otherwise 35 dollars fine.About breakfast-90% of junk food.Coffee was nice,but the food and bread variety leaves much to be desired.As a travel agent and traveler myself I will neither send tourists to this hotel,nor ever come back myself.Absolutely not worth the price you pay.The only reason you might choose this hotel is if you need certain location,otherwise I suggest choosing a better hotel for this amount with a better location so you won’t be stuck in a traffic jam starting from the day.Worst Holiday Inn I have ever been to.Please take advice from your Holiday Inn colleagues from other countries,so you will get a chance to become better.
