PEARL STAR HOTEL ATAMI

I love the staff at the Spa! There was a young lady there who was so attentive. Not enough restaurant and dinner options on site. Very limited.

Everything: staff, location, comfort, food, onsen, minibar, etc. Nothing

Service at Kanji was incredibly slow. And the hotel bar didn’t even have a bartender. Staffing may be a problem.

The service is top notch, staff attentiveness begins the moment you arrive—they seated us in the lobby and gave us a cold matcha and wagashi while they prepared our room keys—waiting was made relaxing. Nothing really, the facilities are new, clean. They have a gym, with free yoga classes, 5-star spa services, and the breakfast is so wonderful and elegantly prepared. We were able to enjoy a slow morning, a slow and restful evening. Truly relaxing place. Cost is higher than other modern ryokans, but you get what you pay for.

The hotel was the best thing in Atami (after the MOA Art Musemn). Peaceful, relaxing and modern. Private onsen overlooking the beach. Complete with all the trimmings that you’d expect at the price point.

It new it clean The breakfasts was not good . It like a business hotel breakfast. Compared to hot springs hotels. This breakfast was I give it a 3 out of 10.

Amazing accommodations. Balcony onsen such a treat. Fantastic buffet with options for everyone. My Japanese husband even tried foods he had never eaten before. I appreciated the gym with 4 power plates and massage chairs. Highly recommend!!! Stay not long enough

The breakfast was very nice! The view and ambiance was fantastic. The service was excellent. The beverages and food choices were good. I wish there were a few more Japanese main dishes.

This is a beautiful hotel with an excellent location. The main train station and the main market are within walking distance which makes the hotel very convenient. The view from the room was wonderful. It is a great place to enjoy the ocean, sit on the beach or relax on the balcony in a warm bath. At check-in, we were welcomed by very friendly staff. They offered us delicious tea and a small sweet. The whole check-in process felt special and different from a normal hotel check-in. It created a very good first impression. I would definitely like to return to this hotel when I have the opportunity in the future. First, the internet was very slow. I needed to stay in contact with my clients but the weak internet connection made it difficult to have proper video calls. For a hotel of this level, a stable and fast internet connection is very important. Second, we received a voucher because we decided not to request room cleaning. We were told that we could use this voucher in the hotel restaurant. However, the restaurant was fully booked for many days, so we could not use the voucher at all. This was a small issue, but it was still disappointing. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel with a great location, beautiful views and very kind staff. I would be happy to stay here again, but I hope the hotel can improve the internet quality and make the voucher system easier for guests to use.

Loved it all there. Front desk staff excellent. Taxi to train was a bonus Check in bit clumsy.

The luxurious spacious rooms with private onsen

The hotel is amazing—fantastic location with a beautiful, spacious suite. The private onsen bath on the balcony was a highlight, and the large onsen and sauna facilities on the top floor were exceptional. Service throughout the stay was immaculate, and the cocktail hours in the lounge were a great added touch. Honestly, nothing to dislike.

It was so clean and relaxing the moment you walk into the hotel lobby. You are greeted by aromatherapy wherever you go and kind staff that are there ready to assist you. My husband and I tried the traditional ryokan stays before and although it’s a wonderful cultural experience, we prefer the comfort of a modern hotel room. It is a bit of a walk to get there from the train station, but Atami is filled with hills and stairs no matter where you live.

Breakfast buffet very good. French dinner quite interesting and Teppanyaki dinner good. The rooms are very clean and well designed, pleasant and bright. The private onsen on the balcony was an excellent source of relaxation. Infinity onsen pool very good with great views.

View of everything, breakfast was fantastic, room very clean, club lounge was fantastic Midnight menu left something to be desired. Tasted as if some of the food came out of a freezer.
