Our huge beautiful room! Same breakfast every day.

The baths were so traditional and the temperature of both the cold and hot we’re exceptional. Nothing at all!!!

The 2 public baths were decent and the room we booked was a nice size. I liked the look of the old Japanese style room . The staff were very helpful and friendly. They had a free shuttle to get to the main station, Atami. And the location is not close to the station by walking,as this area is very hilly, but there is a 7-11 and supermarket behind the hotel, and a few restaurants here and there, and close to a beach. The value for size of room, buffet included, and a ryokan was a good price but.... Breakfast/Dinner Buffet was disappointing and exactly the same as the previous day. For Japan, being "high quality" in taste, this buffet was not. The hotel room, though big, was quite old in that wallpaper was brown and peeling, not alotta plugs in places, even T.V. was like 10 years old and small The hotel was probably refurbished a while ago-not sure, but in need of another refurbishment. The coffee table was sticky, so my Aunt started wiping, the under side was quite brown.. Ewww! Not sure but I don't think the staff speak much English, as many of the guests were Japanese, which wasn't a problem for us, as I speak Japanese and my mom and Aunt are from Japan. But if this is a problem for you, have a translator app ready or book elsewhere. Most likely would not stay here again though staff were friendly.

Price and location I wish there were private hot spring baths.

The hotel is a traditional Japanese vacation hotel with an Onsen ( tattooed people not allowed), the vibe is very Showa, I stayed in the Japanese style superior room and it was beautiful. There’s a shop inside, lots of vending machines, a karaoke room, a beautiful garden, a koi pond in a corridor (!) to the elevators, just a very Japanese experience. Some parts need maintenance

The room was decent sized, with a balcony. Our bathtub was great. The breakfast was great. The view at the dining hall was amazing. Location - There are no restaurants nearby. The beach was a km away. 711 was downhill , about 350 meters away. Its a pain to walk back up. I traveled with my 5 yo, no car. It was far from Atami station and also a bit far from Kinomiya station. Cleaning - I hung the 'please make up room' on my door and they didnt clean my room. Towels - to get an extra towel, I had to pay 300 yen. There was only one futon made for us. I had to pull out the extra one and there were no sheets. Bathroom - No exhaust This hotel is old and all the guests were old. Will not stay here again.
