The staff was absolutely amazing and made it seem like you were staying with friends. Fantastic location. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like it had a cool eclectic atmosphere.

close to everything Υπήρχαν παπούτσια στους διαδρόμους. Το μπάνιο μύριζε άσχημα και το στρώμα ήταν πολύ παλιό. There were shoes left in the hallways. The bathroom smelled bad, and the mattress was very old.

We didn't mind but were a bit surprised by all the beds being in one room. There were five of us. There was hardly any room to walk around each one but it made it affordable so we were grateful. We were on the 4th floor so if stairs are an issue, as there is no elevator, let the staff know to assign you to a lower room. There is an AC unit in the bedroom so we were very comfortable.

Great location, wonderful and accommodating staff. Staff was super responsive and arranged transportation for us. Issues with toilet leaking, but understanding that it is an old mansion, so it’s just something to factor in.

Fantastic family run B&B. View of Acropolis can’t be beat. Small shower and bathroom space. This was ok for us, but sharing for anyone who might want to know. Lovely breakfast and location.

In a great location and quiet at night The bathroom was external to my room, slow drain in the shower that it almost overflowed, and ants all over the bathroom floor

Location was the best, in the heart of Plaka. One can walk all over Athens’ sites. The room was a bit small and shabby. But the old building had a lot of character and was filled with books and artifacts. The staff were amazing - knowledgeable and friendly.

    Location

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Location is excellent - walking to all the sites, cafes, shops, bus & train is very easy. As we left before breakfast Pana kindly made a breakfast bag for us. She was an absolute asset to the hotel. The room was tiny with a tiny bed - but for downtown Plaka we didn’t pay a lot at 99 euros. We were there only one night.

The location is ideal for sightseeing in Athens.

The staff was very helpful in making adjustments for an issue we had.

Great location, within walking distance to all the sites, and with great choices of restaurants and shops nearby. Also very safe area. The room, especially the bathroom, was incredibly small. But we were hardly there except to sleep, so it really didn’t matter much to us.

The location was great. Right at the plaka and close walk to monasteraki and the acropolis. The room was large and had a fridge and old frescos exposed on the ceiling. The staff were helpful and booked our taxi to the airport. We were at the end of our trip so our luggage was heavy to carry up the winging staircase as there was no elevator

Location Outdated, no proper bathroom, breakfast was not at all good. Room was very small

Excellent location, easy walk from metro The stairs! Had read there were stairs so requested lower floor but didn’t get as larger rooms up higher. Narrow, winding stairs a chore with luggage.

I stayed at this hotel multiple times while in Athens because I loved it so much. The location is amazing, the staff are helpful, and it’s in a quieter part of Plaka. I hard time sleeping before a long bus tour in the morning. The interior rooms on the lower floor funnel sound and smells (if people are smoking). I prefer the rooms facing the street.

This is a nice two-start hotel which is close to most of the major sites to be convenient, but at the same time tucked away in a quieter part of Plaka. The room decor is slightly dated, but it is spacious and authentic. There is a wonderful cluster of restaurants around the corner from it. Loved it

Nothing Extremely Disappointing – Avoid This Place I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had for several reasons: 1. Unprofessional Atmosphere: The owner walks around the lobby wearing a political "MAGA" hat, which sets a very uncomfortable and unprofessional tone for a hospitality business. 2. Disrespectful Behavior: When I told the receptionist I was from Istanbul, the owner interrupted to "correct" me by calling it "Constantinople." Using a name from over 500 years ago to provoke a guest is incredibly rude and xenophobic. 3. Insects in Room: The room was infested with mosquitoes, making it impossible to get any rest. 4. Lack of Privacy: The cleaning staff entered our room without knocking, which is a total violation of basic privacy standards. 5. Dilapidated Facilities: The hotel is extremely old and poorly maintained. Everything is literally falling apart. Final Verdict: Save your money and stay somewhere where guests are treated with respect and the rooms are actually liveable.
