Metropolis Hotel

Location was good, the upstairs balcony had a great view of the Acropolis, the concierge was good and gave decent recommendations, bathroom was in good working order, and everything was nice and clean. The AC barely worked or cooled down the room on a hot night, the windows didn’t have screens so even if you want to enjoy the night air mosquitos would get in and eat at us,

We were only in Athens for a day which meant we needed to fit everything in…. this hotel is in the center of it all. We were able to walk to the acropolis, visit the parliament building and do plenty of shopping no problem! We also had a nice view of the acropolis from our hotel balcony so we enjoyed a glass of wine while admiring the view. The staff were very accommodating (early check in, let us leave our bags after checkout, and called for transportation).

The location is perfect and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Super recommended for a short stay. The space was a bit tight for two people, the bathroom was small which was a bit inconvenient when using the shower as the whole space gets wet.

Convenient location within walking distance to attractions, restaurants, and shops. The room for four was very cramped with little space for luggage. The bathroom got messy after showers and lacked enough hooks. Cleanliness under the beds was poor, and Wi-Fi was slow.

Prime location to everywhere.......... Metro, bus station , shop and foods all by walking distance. Big balcony with beautiful view. Staff was helpful allow us to temporary put our luggage at hotel after we had checked out. Hotel a bit old, Lift very small and old.

Location is excellent between the Plaka and Syntagma Square. Accommodation was basic, but comfortable and clean. Bathroom is small w/out many places to put your things, but managed fine. Room had a refrigerator and desk w/mirror. Rooftop patio view was lovely. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. There are steps to get to the small lift, so be prepared to carry your bags a bit. Could use more hooks or a shelf in bathroom. Our view was of another building.

Incredible views, and clean

We liked the location — everything was nearby: shops, cafés, the metro, etc. The staff was very nice to us and even helped us find the best gyros in town. The rooms were not properly cleaned, and the sheets were not changed even once during our stay. Only the towels were replaced, and even they were not very clean. The rooms were very small and not very comfortable. The bathrooms were also small, and there seemed to be an issue with the water system.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location is excellent. Very clean.

Good The small shower... no English on TV

We stayed for 3 days in family room 51 with balcony and Acropolis views. Great central location. We were coming off a cruise and Kostas allowed us early arrival at 10am our room was ready. Room was basic but met our needs and the small extra bed was perfect for place for our suitcases. All the staff super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but enough for us, apart from cereal, lunch meats, cheese, juice, coffee etc. cooked to order omelet and bacon are available. And did I mention the Acropolis views from the large balcony!! We were so tired after exploring we hardly noticed the church bells. Kostas order us a 3am taxi for the airport. Best taxi ride in Athens, super clean car and no attempt at rip off. Would book again next time we are in Athens.

Great locations. Super friendly staff. They can hold your luggage in the lobby. Walkable distance to all major sites in Athens with lots of food nearby. Very small room for 4 people but perfect location.

Property with safe and excellent location. Hotel offers 24/7 front desk assistance and personnel is willing to help with any question or concern. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. There are a lot of restaurants , supermarkets and stores around. Even though is close to a busy area , you can sleep easily without noises. Old building specially in room features. However, hotel counts with a great rooftop view to the acropolis.
