The staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated their recommendations, especially for nearby food options. The location was definitely the highlight of this hotel. It was very walkable, close to many attractions, not far from the Acropolis, and it was easy to get taxis when needed. The biggest issue was the noise level at night. There were guests in the hallways who were loud and disruptive, which made it difficult to sleep. My TV also never worked during my stay. There was also an unpleasant smell that could use attention.

The attitude at the terrace restaurant is unfriendly, inflexible, expensive and certainly not in line with the hotel it sits within

Whenever I’m in Athens, I stay here, and once again I had a great experience. The location is convenient, the hotel is comfortable. I’d especially like to thank Nick for his kindness and professionalism. He was genuinely welcoming, always attentive, and happy to help with any questions or requests. It’s staff members like him that make a difference and keep guests coming back. I look forward to staying here again on my next visit to Athens.

The location is perfect, within walking distance of many of Athens’ main attractions, restaurants, and shops. A special thank you to the staff, who were incredibly kind, professional, and always smiling. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and were happy to help whenever I needed. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Athens.

Beautiful accommodations. Staff were wonderful and the view was exceptional. We booked a suite with a balcony and a view of the Acropolis - I’ve stayed in Athens many times and never had a view this good! Nothing! Everything was fantastic!

Loved the location and how close it was to everything. The view of the Acropolis from our room was lovely. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I loved the Rooftop restaurant as well.

It was a bit nosy at night, though the hotel does offer earplugs to help with the noise

I had a short stay just for a layover, and I found this to be the perfect hotel for my stay.. The staff were so helpful in having a taxi prepared for me to go to the airport at a very odd time, and they were also great with booking my dinner reservation for the rooftop restaurant.. N/a

There were 2-3 instances where we could have we hated Regal, but they proved how valuable they truly here. Here's why: First of all, their shuttle service from Athens airport was phenomenal (George and his team took care of us, even after our flight delayed, and we arrived closer to 3AM local time). When we first arrived to the hotel (approximately 4AM), we showered and found there was a small gap in the shower, causing a leak on the floor. We notified the staff, and promptly the next day (at noon, after we slept), they upgraded us (to a larger and even quieter room). Secondly, on our third night there, the entire block's power went out (around 6PM). We went out for dinner, assuming it would hopefully be restored upon our return. We got back around 11PM, and the power was still out. There was a line of guests yelling and complaining to the manager, Giannis. And this is where I believe Regal made their mark. The power outage was completely out of their control, but Giannis kept his cool, and made sure everyone was heard. They then restored the power as fast as possible, which wound up being 3AM that night. Giannis worked his butt off and stayed all the way until the next evening (no sleep in between), so that he could refund all the guests for the inconvenience the power outage caused us. It's service and dedication like that that makes us feel truly taken care of -- as the Regal team felt like a smaller, communal family, that has your back. Lastly, I haven't even gotten to the actual parts of the hotel my wife and I loved: the location is undeniable. You are literally a 2 to 15 minute walk from all the hot spots in Athens (whether it be restaurants, sights, bars, etc.) I mean, the rooftop bar they have attached literally has one of the best views of the Acropolis/Parthenon in town. We cannot recommend Regal Hotel Mitropoleos enough. Whether it's one night or multiple night, it's an amazing spot to be! Although the staff was resilient, it obviously would have been better if there wasn't a power outage, or a small gap in the shower, but I'm sure the staff is ensuring this won't happen again. Luckily, we were moved to the 2nd floor (facing the back), where it was much quieter. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend not staying on the 1st floor (especially facing the city), where you can hear much of the traffic.

Hotel - no complaints really. The rooftop restaurant connected to the hotel - not sure if they have much affiliation with the hotel, service was lackluster but that is only a slight criticism good and staff were extremely polite and accommodating. We just had to flag staff down for things.
