Great service. The facility was clean and the kitchen was very spacious. The shared dorm I was in was huge and it didn't feel crowded at all. Great location, great security, and very friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay. Nothing.

Location The men's shower area was extremely dirty and there was a lot of mold on the ceiling.

There was no breakfast during my stay

The best thing about this hostel is its unbeatable location. It is right in the city center, close to the Sky Tower, restaurants, supermarkets, currency exchange shops, and ferry terminals. We were able to walk everywhere without needing any transportation. The staff and guests were all very friendly and welcoming. Everyone was helpful, especially when we were cooking in the shared kitchen. Excellent value for money compared to other hostels in the area. Pay on arrival with no prepayment required. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped with plenty of cooking utensils. There are many shared bathrooms on the upper floor, so it was usually easy to find one available. There is a large TV and a comfortable, spacious common lounge where we enjoyed watching the FIFA World Cup matches. No security deposit is required for the room key or access card. Good fast wifi The mattresses were uncomfortable, and the ladder to the upper bunk was poorly designed and uncomfortable to climb. The dorm rooms are very small and cramped. There are no privacy curtains for the beds. The power outlet was too far from the bed, especially for the upper bunk. The reception desk is often unattended. The lockers inside the rooms cannot be secured with your own padlock. You must borrow a special key from reception, which requires a $10 NZD refundable deposit. Some people working in Auckland appear to live at the hostel long-term, and they occupy a significant amount of the storage space.

As far as back packers go this one was clean and tidy. It was reasonable easy to find and had good parking. I would avoid arriving in Auckland at rush hour time and there was also a rugby game on made the traffic more challenging. Next time I would plan to arrive late morning/early afternoon

The place is reasonably clean. Close to everything I needed to go to, and generally not a bad stay as far as backpackers in that price range go. It's a backpackers, so never really the best place to stay, but decent value for money. The pillows are very much on the thin side, which makes rest a little less than fulfilling. I would advise to bring your own pillow, other than that it's not a bad stay for that price range. I'd advise a room at a hotel if you've got the cash to splurge, but it's fairly priced
