Great value - small hotel, well organized . Staff super helpful willing to help you with all aspects of your stay. Not in epicenter of instagram madness - but close to all things you are planning to se in Cappadocia. We are absolutely happy to have Sofa hotel as our accommodation choice. Highly recommended!!!

We chose the cave style hotel during the off season, so we were the only people in the hotel during our 5 night stay. The community-style hotel area is really atmospheric and genuine. We had breakfast included and they always had a fire going for us and breakfast laid out before we got there at 8:00. A lot of good Turkish food variety, and always more than we could eat. The room itself had a lot of props and decorations that made it feel lived-In and antiquated, always like visiting a grandmother. The cave style was unique and fun. It was spacious and warm throughout our stay. The bathroom was clean and spacious and warm, with a walk in shower. The plaster “cave” ceiling of our room constantly dropped debris onto the ground and bed. Dust littered the floor. While this is expected if it were a real cave, being an artificial cave, I was a little concerned. The bathroom door didn’t close cleanly and needed to be pushed in order for the bolt to fall into the socket and close properly. The room occasionally had a “pond water” smell from the outside hallway that we couldn’t pinpoint, but it didn’t bother us too badly. The front reception is locked and needed someone to manually open the door for us, which posed an embarrassing problem if we came back to the hotel late or early in the morning. A family lives there (we think) that manages the property and needed to wake up to let us in at 5:00 am a couple times. It might have been better to have some kind of key or open access without intruding on anyone. Lastly, the heating system failed during our stay but the staff noticed and provided plug in heaters instead without us mentioning anything. We didn’t end up using them as the room was already a comfortable temperature despite the outside being -5 C.

How to receive people Breakfast excellent Location very good Staff soooo good Hotel is super nice Rooms Clean

The hotel was in a good location in the center of the town of Avanos. The staff were really nice and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was VERY COMFORTABLE !! I was also surprised by the breakfast ! It was really good, diverse and had a lot of options to choose from. I really enjoyed my stay in Safa Hotel Nothing

It was a perfect stay. Amazing location just 10 minutes from Cappadocia city center if you have a car. The breakfast was mind-blowing, easily one of the best spreads we have ever had. It had all the Turkish delicacies. The family that runs this hotel is extremely sweet and nice. There is sufficient space for parking and the hotel itself is super authentic and gives you a feel of turkey as soon as you step in, with its cute artifacts and stylish decor. Would 100% come back.

The staff are very nice, the hotel is beautiful and calm, and the breakfast was delicious. If I come back to Cappadocia,

A gorgeous historic hotel with great management and facilities. It was truly a treat to stay here, as every inch of the hotel is beautiful. We were also awed by the amazing breakfast buffet, which seemed never-ending, with more choices than I've ever seen. The whole experience was above expectation. Being a traveler for over 25 years, the Sofa Hotel ranks high in my experience and will be memorable.

They are so good and kind, I’ve got souvenir after my stay. So warm full and it feels like come back to grandma’s house, I would love to be back again… Nothing.

Breakfast is excellent. Very good location. Nice cave room.
-
honestly i really enjoyed my stay, the staff was wonderful super nice and helpful, and the breakfast was actually quite good. the room was nice and big which was nice, and it was beautiful. it was also nice having a taxi place a couple of feet away from the building + if you are wanting to go to göreme it is only a 13 minute drive away! the only problem was the shower head but they tried replacing it with another shower head so i really can’t complain!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful!! The decorations were eclectic and I enjoyed spending time exploring around the hotel terraces. The wifi was a bit spotty in the cave room, but it was absolutely worth it to stay there! The staff was friendly and helpful too

Property is a cozy place to stay. It has everything you need and also is very close to Avanos so you can walk around red river. Also, staff personnel was very helpful and breakfast was really good. No bad comments

Beautiful hotel in Avanos. Friendly staff and good breakfast. If you don’t have a car and plan to spend time in the more touristy town of Goreme, it can be a bit inconvenient as taxi is pretty much the only option. Not too many food options in Avanos vs. Goreme.

The room was very spacious, hotel is cozy and on a good location. Staff was very kind and helpful as well.

Its architecture is so unique. Love the garden and decorations.

Good location, 5 minutes walk to the Avanos neighborhood center with vibrant vibe, and many cafes, shops and restaurants. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and polite. Instagramable design and decoration in the main area, garden and rooms. Breakfast variety is s nice, and bottomless tea is a nice gesture. Cave family room is unique in terms of its ancient structure, decoration, lighting and layout. Its size was good for a family of 4 adults. Quite, naturally cold (no AC) given it’s a cave with limited or no concrete. We only needed a fan to circulate the air in the room. Parking is available. Small bits of the ceiling were falling down, which may be avoided with some maintenance (I guess). Although breakfast was nice with lots of variety, however the area in which the buffet was displayed was a bit humid and didn’t smell very good. Having an AC in the room would have been nicer as it was during a heat wave.

This hotel exceeded our expectations on every front. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are clean and nicely furnished, the staff is very polite and helpful, and the breakfast they serve is plentiful and great. If we ever come back to this region, we are definitely staying here again. We also liked the fact that it was in the town of Avanos and not in Göreme where the majority of tourists stay when they come to Cappadocia, so it was more laid back, quiet and peaceful. They even gave us a souvenir when we were checking out. I cannot recommend this place highly enough......stay here if you get a chance, you will not regret it!
