Another great stay, Holiday Inn Express & Suites is a go to hotel for me.

Easy check in. Good breakfast. They had options. Pool, fitness center and hot tub. Room was clean.

Excellent staff who are very friendly and professional- room was very clean and bed and pillows very comfy. Only drawback location to shops etc, but ordering takeout and delivery to hotel was very good. Very popular with families with indoor pool.

The phone in my room was not working, so I contacted the front desk and asked if someone could come take a look at it. The clerk appeared to put in a request, but no one ever came. I was later told that the hotel was replacing phones in certain rooms, but my room never received a replacement during my stay. A working room phone is a basic hotel amenity, so this was disappointing. Housekeeping was also lacking. The staff was extremely slow to respond to requests, and the overall level of attentiveness could have been much better. The food/snack area could also use more variety. I would love to see more health-conscious choices for guests who are focused on healthier eating, such as fresh fruit, lower-sugar snacks, and other nutritious grab-and-go options. Overall, the hotel has potential, but improvements in customer service, housekeeping responsiveness, and food selection would make a significant difference in the guest experience.

The pool was a bit disappointing since it’s only 3 feet deep, and the hot tub wasn’t very hot. There were tons of families and kids around—totally understandable for a hotel—but it did make the pool crowded and noisy, and we could hear kids in the hallway while trying to sleep. The room itself was clean, though the TV didn’t offer many channels. Even with the noise and a few minor inconveniences, we still enjoyed our stay.

They put us on second floor and as soon as we got off elevator it smelled terrible like weed Got into the room and it smelled like they poured the whole bottle of perfume (probably to mask the the smell of marijuana Went down to request a room move and the staff was not very willing to do anything she just said that they would send some one to spray more freaking deodorant or something After telling her that I was going to leave she moved us to fourth floor which was better I would not recommend you stay here It is next to rundown motel

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The buffet breakfast was delicious and had great variety. The staff were so helpful and cordial. Public transit, lots of shopping and restaurants near by. Great place !

Went to the front desk to ask for a lamp because the room was dark and we were getting ready for are wedding the next day, immediately I was turned down and not even little bit of help, felt like I was bothering them. Very sad to not even attempt to help the customer. Later called and asked for a hair dryer because the room didn’t have one and was told NO on the phone. Went downstairs again and this time it’s a man and told him we needed a hairdryer. Gave me a hard time but eventually found one. Sad how some Holiday Inn hotels go beyond for the customer but this one just wanted to stay behind the desk.

YES! Room 300, on a busy noisy lit highway. Upon entering the room, discovered the bedroom area did NOT have any privacy curtains or drapes. The only covering on the window was a sheer white panel, which was TOTALLY see through. Filter in room was dirty.

The bed creaked constantly, making it impossible to sleep. I requested a room change, but the staff was rude and did nothing to help. The shower had poor water pressure, the hot water barely worked, and the hotel had a strong, unpleasant odor.

The “suite” was run down and dirty. Had two tvs but could only watch one because a huge crack wain the other. I was visiting from California. I’ll never return.

Room was clean and one of the better and safer hotels in Newark NJ. Enjoyed our stay and hotel was kind enough to hold our luggage through the flay so that we could explore nearby Hoboken before we caught a backup fight out of Philly.
