Towneplace Suites Bakersfield West

It was just OK. There was no parking for check-in. Had to park in the handicapped area. The receptionist replied we are not a full-service hotel?? The coffee machine did not work. Parking was difficult and disclaimers about not responsible for stolen items. However, the lady responsible for the breakfast area was great but the food was mediocre.

The size of the rooms were excellent!!! Well worth every penny.

Always a great place to stay while visiting family in town. Parking lot is always safe feeling and the hotel is always clean. Breakfast is basic, but does the job. Staff is wonderful. Our go-to hotel always.

The pool was really fun. The morning breakfast was wonderful. The parking was very easy. The location was clean, safe and central to all of Bakersfield. Thank you all, we will be back.

The staff and customer service were fantastic. I ran had car trouble while onsite and they worked with me to make the situation go as easy as possible. Some of the best staff I’ve ever come across.

Strange that it is newer, very run down and not well maintained.

I was greatly helped by one of the staff, I do not recall the name, but I think she looked like she could be cast in Downton Abbey (Mrs. Patmore). If it wasn't for her, I would have starved. She even brought me my oatmeal and helped with the pepper. Then I had coffee and my day went much better. Front desk staff was very friendly, and housekeeping was very helpful when we needed a plunger.

We enjoy this property. This was our second stay here. It is very convenient to food and groceries. The pool is great, they even added a ping pong table my son loved learning.

Bad

More hot options at the breakfast bar would have nice. The cold options were plentyful.

Superb

This was my first stay at Towneplace Suites. Pros: Comfortable, clean, spacious room, very kind and helpful staff. Great amenities very close by. I was traveling for business so it was nice to have a good desk space and comfortable chair. Cons: My only real "complaint" is that some semi trucks used the street directly behind the hotel for overnight parking and were very noisy. Obviously not the hotel's fault, but it was annoying. Overall it was a nice stay, and I would stay there again!
