Staff is great

I've stayed here three times so far. Twice the room was excellent, the middle time the room felt in disrepair. I will be going there again though. Good food is available nearby and it's a short drive to the places I need to visit near Bakersfield

Air conditioning didn't work propertly. Breakfast was at 4:00am. There were stains on the sheets.

Definitely not a family friendly environment. Alot of people smoking everything in my non smoking area you can smell the smoke inside my non-smoking room. Alot of activity outside and definitely did not feel so safe with my little ones. No parking available near my room that's how much people are staying in one room at a time. Will definitely not recommend this for a family friendly place.

Was completely run down disgusting would not recommend to anybody rude staff ice machine didn't work just took ur money pool was nasty so much chlorine my son had a rash sll over breakfast was nasty

Not to be mistaken for the Vagabond inn North Bakersfield! This is the Vagabond in SOUTH Bakersfield! Trust me, there is a huge difference..... I stay at this place every time I come to Bakersfield. It is very well priced and the rooms are decent. It's not a five-star hotel but it's not a roach motel either. Not a bunch of riff Raff hanging around in the parking lot like some of the other motels in the area. Mostly truck drivers. I feel comfortable bringing my kids to stay with me there. I am happy with the cleanliness and the staff is really amazing. I was a little disappointed that the pool was closed because the kids really wanted to go swimming but it happens. Every room I've ever stayed in has a wonderful AC unit and is normally ice cold when I walk in. I will continue to recommend this motel to anyone staying in Bakersfield. (Stay away from the Vagabond North!)

Price was excellent. The location, unfortunately, is next to a road that gets a lot of local traffic, so quite noisy. I did not really hear the freeway which was on the other side of the building. The wooden blinds/plantation shutters were broken but I eventually got them to close properly for privacy. There is a 3/4 to 1 inch gap under the entry door. The room was clean but no doubt dust can blow in and bugs too. Was unable to check out their pool. They said it was dirty, although it looked fairly clean. Pool chair had been covered. Would have been nice to take advantage of the pool since it was 100 degrees outside.

Where to start bugs in the room

Room was clean air conditioner worked pool was clean opened in the morning service was nice but the breakfast choices could have been better something to go with the waffles maybe a fruit choice or some hard-boiled eggs would have been nice just waffles or cereal would be good for the kids snacks but most definitely lacking breakfast protein. The staff was friendly no other complaints we would totally stay there again but knowing the lack of choices we would prepare

The staff here is amazing! I feel like I'm coming home every time I go here. When I arrive, they already have a key ready for me. The Delux rooms are extremely nice, and they come equipped with refrigerator and microwave. Also, if you need to get any work done on laptop, they have a nice desk for you to use. WiFi is free and cable tv is great. Beds are nice and comfy, and the air conditioner blows really well. You'll love it here..
