Iris Hotel Baku

Approx 2 km away from Nizam street. Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. For pure Veg breakfast limited options.

The bed sheets and pillowcases are also torn; there is no good water leakage when showering.

Everything! Hotel is beautiful and very clean, interior design is delightful, employees are very helpful and friendly, rooms are very nice and contain everything you need, awesome breakfast. Would like to express our gratitude to Telman and Arif at the reception desk for their assistance. We stayed there for two nights on the way to Kazakhstan and choose this hotel again on the way home to Canada. We would definitely recommend this hotel! ??? No complains.

Breakfast Easily accessible

Excellent hotel, spotlessly clean with great amenities. However, the standout was Miss Aida at reception. Professional, efficient, and incredibly kind. She handled everything from check-in to restaurant bookings and local advice with ease and a positive attitude. She is a credit to the hotel and a major reason we would return. We were so comfortable and impressed by the hospitality that we decided to extend our trip for an additional three days—something we almost never do! Special thank you to Aida and Arif at the reception. They were incredibly professional, warm, and helpful throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. Also, a big shoutout to the culinary team "Laman"! The breakfast was delicious and refreshing—the perfect way to start a day of exploring Baku. I am planning again a trip to Baku, this time with my family, and there is no doubt we will be staying at the same hotel. Highly recommended!

Good Location

Nothing every thing are good

Staff were very nice and helpful - especially Mr Elvin at reception who arranged connecting rooms for us, advised on tour company/airport taxi & let us have a late checkout as our flight was in the evening. Also Laman from the breakfast room greeted us warmly every day, was very friendly and attentive to our needs. And Younis and his colleagues from the restaurant gave us lovely service during our meals and delivered very hot coffee to our room which was so much appreciated. Thank you so much to everyone for looking after us and making our stay so pleasant. The hotel itself is in excellent condition/looks new, has spacious and clean rooms, and is conveniently located next to a metro station. Our breakfast and meals at the hotel were also very nice and enjoyable. Thanks again! Due to it being winter season the AC had been turned off centrally. We found it hot at night and struggled to sleep. The hotel kindly provided us with a fan which helped to manage the issue.

Cleaness of bathroom

Most of the staff were kind and helpful. There were just a couple of situations where communication could have been better, such as the taxi request that wasn’t passed on. The air conditioning didn’t work during my stay, even though it was listed as available, and the room stayed warm. I had to keep the windows open to cool the room, which led to mosquitoes entering and mosquito bites. Also, since we kept the windows open, we could hear city noise. The soundproofing was also poor — we could hear noise from the next room and had to change rooms because of it. Breakfast could also be better for a 4-star hotel. The quality of the items were not that great. Some other amenities also didn’t work, such as broken windows and a broken bed. I hope the hotel improves these areas for future guests.

There are many good things about this hotel. All the staff members are friendly, always willing to help, and go above and beyond to assist guests. What I appreciate the most is Mr. Elvin exceptional attitude. He is a wonderful person—full of energy, always ready to help, and able to arrange everything with just a phone call. He truly made our tour a remarkable experience. I would also like to thank Ms. Lama for her kindness and professionalism. She always greets guests with a smile, values their feedback, and genuinely cares about how the service can be improved. Finally, a special thanks to Mr. Arif. He is extremely polite and always has a warm smile on his face, making guests feel welcomed and comfortable.

The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was excellent, the breakfast was great, and the staff were very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Elvin, Mr. Arif, and Ms. Laman for their assistance. The only issue was with the airport transfer upon arrival, as the vehicle provided was not the one we had requested. However, this was kindly compensated on the return transfer with the help of Mr. Elvin.

The property was just enough to survive a night. Their AC was terrible and there was no way to open the window too. They tried to fix it multiple times but it won’t work properly.

All the facilities are very good. The breakfast is rich in variety of food and fresh. I would like to mention two ladies which work at the kitchen- Hatira and Laman. They helped us a lot and were very nice to us.

No enough elevators

Thanks to all the staff especially the reception manager. The staff was very friendly and the location was somewhat good It was still a problem to get Bolt taxi as the area is with heavy traffic especially in the evening time. It would be good to provide water for guests. Normal big bottled water to buy on a reasonable price.. The water provided for free is 2 x300ml and only option is to buy either half letter bottle from restaurant or to buy from outside. Also maybe provide little tea machine for free by adding some little cost on room price.
