Our problem is :- when we arrived to hotel in the reservation day 20/6/2026 the reception staff refused to give our room, and told us that this reservation has been cancelled and not confirmed, even when we give them reservation confirmed, and they want us ro reserfe out of booking aplllication to get higher price than booking application,, finally we have no choice to booking one day with extra money and go to another hotel in morning, and we told them we are going to submit acomplaint on booking site, they said they are don't care about that

The hotel room was very spacious and clean. The staff was very supportive and non-disturbing. The room was cleaned and made up every day while we return. Breakfast was above average. Overall worth for the cost.

Horrible & unsafe - Do NOT book Nothing is what it seens. Horrible & unsafe - Do NOT book We checked in and were immediately asked to pay extra money for early checkout, even before we’d stayed a full day. On our 2nd day, 5-6 people cornered us in a room, some claiming to be police and others hotel staff. They aggressively forced us to record a video “accepting money back”. We only saw one real hotel staff member the whole time. We asked for the refund to go back to our card with proper documentation. They refused, got more aggressive, and kept pressuring us. It happened again the next morning. We felt threatened and unsafe in our own room. We checked out and left the hotel on our 2nd day out of fear for our safety and security. This place is shady, unprofessional, and run by people who act like they’re all connected. Stay away. Worst hotel experience ever.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful in every way . The Miras restaurant in the hotel is open 24 hours a day and serves delicious food

Good location, near the subway. There is a sauna, a pool, a massage, etc. The breakfast was delicious. Good Wi-fi, large? clean room. We were able to reschedule our checkout time to take a rest before our flight. (charged additionally) Please note that the parking is public. There are no reserved parking spots for the hotel visitors. We've found the spot, but a little bit further. I stayed with my wife, but only one bathrobe was provided. I requested the second bathrobe to visit the SPA, but unfortunately, that was ignored.

Air conditioner sound is noisy. I requey king bed and had double twin

The hospitality, attention to detail, and warm atmosphere make every guest feel valued. It’s clear that the hotel prioritizes comfort and guest satisfaction above all. Modern rooms, cleanliness, and a genuinely welcoming team make the stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Metro City Hotel Baku to anyone looking for high-quality service and true hospitality in Baku.

I found Manager Faud to be very polite and accommodating. The hotel is ideally situated in a prime location, just 400 meters from Nariman Narimanov metro station and within walking distance of the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center. The staff were always polite, and I felt safe throughout my stay. The food served for lunch and dinner was both tasty and affordable. Without hesitation, I would choose to stay at Golden City Hotel if I ever travel to Baku again. The hotel is a hidden gem, and I feel compelled to recommend it to others. I was surprised to read some negative reviews about this place, as my experience was nothing but positive.

Staff was friendly and helpful although they couldn't provide us with early check-in. Food at the breakfast varied and was pretty decent and tasty. Not far from metro (5-7 minutes), nice cafe at affordable prices (business lunch) just on the first floor the only negative thing we found was the problem with sewage in the bathroom which resulted in permanent water on the floor and a little bit filthy smell
-
Location - however the street on which the main entrance is very dark Breakfast was really poor ; don’t recommend including in your room
-
Beds were comfortable and the room was very big. It was The smell of the sewers! It was awful. Whole room was smelling of sewers. No sewer siphon was under the sink.

Breakfast wasn't very different day to day, table lamps were broken, carpet looked dirty, blanket size can be comfortable for 1 person, but not for a couple, bed linen had holes
