Tokyo Cubo - Hostel

Surprisingly the bathroom was clean, they have hair dryer also thats so helpful. Luggage is big. Got a few friends while staying here, it was fun. Cons is there are mosquitoes in the bedroom, so i had to bought lotion for it. The rest is good.

However, I have one small concern, there is a surveillance camera in the female dorm room above the lockers. As a woman who wears the hijab, I would have preferred not to have a camera in the female-only room, so I could feel more comfortable moving around freely without needing to wear my hijab all the time.

Unfortunately the place is pretty run down and a bit dirty. The beds were clean but very thin. The bathrooms were dirty and could really use some work. Our room flooded and our bag got wet. Not under the staffs control, but you can tell this has happened before.

good locaiton with shops,restros nearby, staff are nice. Rooms and restrooms are clean and tidy.

Cubes were clean and good privacy, staff was very helpful Right next to an Indomart, close to Laundry Blankets too small, no Information about trips/tours, mattress very thin

Not far away from the train station and in the same street of the hostel there're several good street food stands. I'm wondering if the bathroom was cleaned once in the history of Tokyo Cubo.

Just some of the toilet bowl is not so clean.

My mattress was so thin that I felt the ground when I was lying on the side. Wish the mattress was a little thicker.

Also the common room could really use normal tables and chairs.

Not very clean and found the were more mosquitos in the hostel than outside of it!

(1) Excellent location: Convenient public transportation access, culinary choices, convenient stores. (2) Spacious and cozy common area. (3) For the money spent, I would say the shower, toilet, and bed are acceptable. (4) Bright enough light inside the cube, could do some reading with ease. (5) Electric power socket inside the cube. (6) Spacious rack with borders which came very handy to place my gadgets while being charged along with some other accessories without worrying of sleeping over them. (7) Plenty of hooks on the wall that I could hang my clothes. (8) Huge and tall locker to store my backpack. (1) Slept for 2 nights, and the 1st was the worse. Woken up at 4 in the morning by an alarm clock that kept on ringing. Then continued by noises of giggling, laughing, banging on the walls of the cubic. The 2nd night, I was woken up at around 2:00 AM. I felt very much disturbed. I understand that opting for a bunk style room, I should expect noise. However, based on my experience abroad, especially in Japan, making noise in the middle of the night is actually restrained. (2) I had set the aircon to the lowest temperature and the highest fan speed but barely could feel it inside the cube. After 8 o'clock in the morning I began to sweat.

The staff is helpful and nice. Overall, it's good value of money The pods are ok but the room and common area are quite small. The hygiene in the shared bathroom can be improved

Very convenient location for me, because I traveled by train. There's a wide range of culinary choices within the vicinity, convenient stores, hawkers at night, to such an extent that made me perplexed about deciding what to have for breakfast or dinner. During my stay, it happened that I had quite quiet nights and thus could sleep well. Although to Japanese standard of cleanliness it might be below standard, to Indonesia standard it's on okay level. However, the young people gathering at the reception desk in the afternoon could have solved the rather clogged sink in the bathroom, wipe off the stains. That won't take long but would have brought Tokyo Cubo's level of cleanliness a bit higher. I love the common area, nice place to relax. Actually I had come with a more Japanese atmosphere expectation. And, if the aircon in the female's dorm could be turned down a bit more, it would have been better for me.
