The ambience and surroundings are lovely. Very close to Bangalore cantonment station, and easy to get to areas like MG Road and commercial street. The room was bare bones. Bathroom: There was mould on the wall behind the bathtub. There was no provision of a bath mat or a shower curtain, so the entire floor was wet by the time you finished a shower. The taps were old and could not be turned easily. Room: Old little table in the centre like you would find in budget rooms, with water marks. In general, the room felt 'old'. Outside, they have lovely plants and hedges, but with dried out leaves and flowers. I am sure some regular upkeep of the gardens would help. We were there for a wedding and there were no path lights on when we came back at night. When we left early morning, I was happy that we had our mobiles in hand to use the torch to light our way. Absolute pitch black darkness, and we had to make our way very carefully down the stair and to the lobby which was locked! For the price and calling themselves a "heritage hotel", this place was an utter disappointment.

location and setting. absolutely stunning. loved the mornings with sun on balcony and ancient trees in front of my room. great meditation focus is on events /weddings etc. rooms are a little run down. the enamel was half off the bath in my bathroom

The palace had its good times... now its ok for an average stay. room has an ok size, Bangalore palace is nearby but not much more, i.e. its not really central. the rooms are in an extra building next to the main building (palace). the buildings are not connected, neither with the restaurant. it was raining when i was there and that means its a good 300-400 meters walking through the rain each time you need reception or want to go to the restaurant. moreover the restaurant is outside only (with a roof), no indoor seating. got pretty cold during the rain, same for breakfast.
