It was clean throughout and in a good location near the riverfront My only query was that I was told that there are two locations to smoke, on the 6th floor and downstairs. I specifically picked this location because according to the questions asked earlier about smoking on the balcony, the person who answered stated that smoking is allowed on the balcony of the hotel room. This was very disappointing since I paid about $200 per night for the room. This mad me very sad. Please put this in your policy for future customers to make an informed decision. Thank you.

Over many years, I have stayed in a dozen or more hotels in Bangkok. As well, I used to live in Bangkok. To date, I have now stayed in the Chatrium Riverside multiple times, as well as booking a stay for my daughter and her friend twice. Without question, it is my favorite hotel in Bangkok and perhaps anywhere I have stayed world wide. And I have stayed in countless hotels on multiple continents in my life. I am an artist and actor, so my work has afforded me a great amount of travel. I simply cannot recommend The Chatrium Riverside Hotel highly enough. It is fantastic. The staff is remarkably kind, attentive, helpful, conscientious, and professional. They treat their guests like family. Every request I have ever had has been kindly fulfilled and more. It is such a fine hotel that, last year (when my daughter was staying there) The Chatrium Riverside Hotel accommodated the international model/participants in the Miss Universe Pageant. The accommodations are well appointed, clean, and the shower is probably the best shower I have ever been in in my life. If you are fortunate enough to book a room with a river view, you might spend hours just watching the activities on the Chao Praya River, day and night. And at night, it is really a spectacular view and treat. Conveniently, The Chatrium has its own boat shuttle which runs on a prompt schedule all day and into the evening, to get you to the BTS (skytrain), local shopping, and to the iconic Icon Siam shopping center, as well as the boat terminal for further trips up and down the river. These are all also within easy walking distance (maybe ten minutes max.) and it is equally close to Asiatique, another must see stop in Bangkok. The breakfast buffet is tremendously large and great, with food from several cultures in abundance. Breakfasts will also be cooked to order by the several chefs manning several different international cuisine stations.

Staff members are attentive and responsive, especially those on the breakfast service team. I introduced myself to one of the staff members one morning. The next day, all staff members addressed me by name. The shuttle boat from and to the hotel was scheduled hourly. That’s not sufficiently frequent to meet guests’ needs.

When checking out they asked us to return those cardboard keys (the disposable kind), I normally throw these away when I leave the hotel. I asked why they didn’t tell us when we checked in. Front desk staff was able to upgrade us one room so we can stay together.

Very spacious rooms, away from crowds, shuttle service helps to get around the city, accessibility to main attractions and malls, very well managed breakfast with a great selection of fresh fruits and other dishes, good service and crowd management at breakfast. The property works perfectly if you are travelling with tweens or teens as the suites are spacious and can easily accommodate grown up kids in the living area while providing privacy for others. Safe area around the hotel, grab, bolt and taxis are always available around. There is a Starbucks and 7-11 within the property, which is really convenient as well. This was our second stay with this property, and we will not hesitate to choose them again. The river view one bedroom suite on a higher floor is what we absolutely love waking up to. NA

The room is always cleaned daily and the staffs were wonderful. Its just a bit outside of the BTS so you will need to wait for the boat shuttle, or take a grabs to go places. The price for the suite wer a bit high so I am paying for top ends hotel for sure.
