Hilton Bangkok Grande Asoke

Location The hotel advertises itself as a five-star property, but based on our experience, I would consider it closer to a four-star standard, which was particularly disappointing for a property belonging to a well-known international hotel chain. We arrived early in the morning and had booked the rooms from the previous night specifically to ensure they would be ready upon arrival. Despite this, check-in took more than 40 minutes, largely because the hotel attempted to charge us a significantly higher rate than the one confirmed through Booking.com. I had to present my reservation confirmation before the correct rate was acknowledged. Frustratingly, the same issue occurred again at check-out, requiring me to provide the confirmation once more, even though the matter had already been resolved at check-in. We had two rooms on the 20th floor, yet noise from tuk-tuks and traffic was clearly audible throughout the night. The beds were also too soft for my preference and uncomfortable, while the décor and furnishings felt dated and worn. Overall, the slow check-in, repeated billing discrepancies, poor sound insulation, uncomfortable beds, and dated rooms fell short of the standards expected from a five-star hotel, especially one operating under a well-known international brand.

Breakfast room was excellent with a very attentive staff and a wide assortment of items and cuisines to choose from.

Comfortable hotel. Inconsistency with Hotel policies and Booking.com booking. I booked for 2 adults and a 14 years old but was offered a room with a single king bed (no sofa). I was told that I had to pay extra $50 for foldable bed. I complained and they agreed to waive the fee - but told I shall have booked for 3 adults! Breakfast choice for western taste is limited. Hot chocolate is prepared as water with bitter chocolate.

Perfect location, near subway and mall Terminal 21 Very good breakfast The quality of the bed linen and bath towels did not meet the level typically associated with the Hilton brand. The sheets felt thin and slightly worn, and the towels lacked the softness and absorbency expected in this category. While everything was clean, the materials themselves did not reflect a premium experience.

I think everything about this place was a solid 9/10 considering there's always room for improvement. I think the morning breakfast could have some more variation but it's super well spread. The highlight of this property is the staff - from the chefs, to the f&b, to housekeeping, front office and concierge, are amazingly warm, and helpful. The traffic in and around this property. Thailand traffic can be so unpredictable. The property is bang in central - this was like a doub le edged sword - on days i got to my meeting so easy, but while returning got stuck in a traffic jam.
