Lumen Bangkok Udomsuk Station

The breakfast was very good. There were different selections daily and were always warm and tasty. Lumon Hotel is in a great location and very close to BTS. Hotel Parking entrance was hard to find.

Good location and clean. The heavy rain during the night seemed to feed into a drain that could be heard very loudly in Room 201B. It was so loud it woke me up at 4am in the morning and I am a deep sleeper. I could not get back to sleep. I was very disappointed. There was no point complaining at the time as I was checking out that morning and did not want to move rooms. Engineering need to find a way to fix the issue.

no When I tried to check out, I was told to wait for five minutes because they needed to "inspect the room." Having stayed at various hotels more than 10 times a year, I have never been asked to wait for a room inspection during checkout before. If such a procedure is required, it should be clearly communicated in advance. Since I wasn't informed, the request felt suspicious and insulting—as if I were being treated like a criminal. Furthermore, because of this unexpected delay, the taxi I had pre-booked was kept waiting. If I had known about the inspection, I wouldn't have called the taxi so early. The room quality was also unacceptable. The shower drain was clogged, and the hairdryer was broken. Even after I requested a replacement, it was ignored until I had to ask a second time. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

This was my second stay at Lumen Udomsuk. The rooms are very thoughtfully designed with bedside shelves on each side, plenty of outlets for electricity, excellent air conditioning, small refrigerator, a sturdy built-in shelf to hold my suitcase, blackout curtains, and a shower with a shelf. Room service for food after a long flight is excellent. When you check in, you are offered a delicious, homemade popsicle! The breakfast buffet is excellent. I was there over Halloween and many staff members were dressed in fun costumes! The gym on the top floor is small but has standard equipment and a great view. My only caveat is to have a taxi or Grab driver drop you off BEHIND the hotel. There is a back entrance with a security guard at street level. If you are dropped off in front of the hotel, it is on a very busy street with an extremely high curb to access the sidewalk. It's dangerous.

The hotel was quiet and clean. There was a good sized, separate bathroom. They offered breakfast and have a restaurant on site. The location is a little tricky. In a very busy area. Really good if you take the transit, but a little slow if you take grabs.

Modern, clean boutique hotel with large rooms and bathrooms. Excellent location next to SkyTrain and shops. Breakfast not good or worth the price.

I liked that the hotel was a few steps away from the train station. I also liked that there was a 7-11 next door and a night market close by. I also appreciated the friendliness of the staff. The shower was too open, allowing water to splash onto the bathroom floor. Also, the housekeeping could've been done earlier in the afternoon.

SERVICE The front desk staff were very friendly but it seems like they have to be. ROOM The room was adequate. The bed was clean and comfortable. Amenities included a mini-fridge, a safe, and two complimentary bottles of water. While there was no microwave, the room did provide small packs of coffee, tea bags, and sugar, and a kettle. They provided a pair of robes and indoor slippers. The bathroom was clean. LOCATION The hotel is ideally situated just steps from Sukhumvit Road, with the Udom Suk BTS Station a few steps away which was very convenient. VALUE Adequate based on its location near the BTS station. SERVICE (Check-In) I arrived at the hotel around 1:30 pm, knowing the official check-in time was 2:00 pm. A few other guests were already at the counter, seemingly waiting as well. When it was my turn, I handed over my passport and confirmed my booking. The staff verified everything, had me sign the necessary documents, and reminded me that check-in was at 2:00 pm—which I was already aware of. They then gestured toward the lobby seating, implying I should wait until the official time. I didn’t mind and took a seat. About 10 minutes later, I noticed the group of guests from earlier heading to the lifts with their cardkeys in hand, even though it wasn’t yet 1:45 pm. A few minutes after that, I went back to the counter to ask if I could check in. At first, they asked again for my passport, but I explained I had already given it. After a quick look, they found my packet and handed me my key card. This all happened before 2:00 pm anyway. What stood out to me was the inconsistency. At other hotels, staff usually check if the room is ready and allow early check-in when possible. Here, I felt like I was just left to wait without any follow-up, even though my room was clearly available. I’m not upset, just noting the experience—it felt a bit indifferent compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. ROOM The windows open to a view of the neighboring building’s concrete wall—not particularly scenic, but worth noting. Road noise from motorbikes and the periodic rumble of the BTS sky train can be heard throughout the day and evening. Of course, this is expected given the hotel’s location, but I mention it here as a casual observation rather than a complaint.

This is my second time staying at the property. The staff have been helpful and kind both times. I rebooked because I love the pool! The view from the pool at night is amazing. There is a DJ at pool level on the weekend. It wasn’t very busy. I felt like I had the place to myself. The workout area has a great view. There is a pool table downstairs in the lobby as well. My room was extremely comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. The bed was very soft. There are plugs next to the bed to charge your phone. The lighting in the room is one of the best features. There are many options, including a small bedside light and a desk light for low lighting options. I appreciate that the air conditioning display light is not in view from my bed. This is one of the few hotel rooms where the air conditioning worked wonderfully without blowing straight into my face all night. The shower has great water pressure. The hairdryer has a diffuser. I appreciate that there is more than one channel in English on the TV. I had no issue with hearing city noise while trying to sleep. It’s relatively very quiet compared to the many places I’ve stayed at in the city. I slept amazing! I appreciated the robes, which I used to walk to the pool. Housekeeping did a phenomenal job each morning. They are very kind and accommodating. It was a pleasure to come back mid morning to a sparkling, clean room! I loved the convenience of the BTS station being directly outside of the hotel lobby. I was able to jump on the skytrain and explore. It was less expensive than having to order a grab taxi and faster during traffic times. Also it’s a great way to experience Bangkok. N/a
