Nornyaowarat Hostel

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Not much softer than sleeping on a yoga mat on the ground.

Although the bathroom was clean there was a smell coming from the drainage. Overall a very nice hostel but the private room was priced too high in my opinion.

Location was great for us. Easy to walk around and get to many attractions. Facilities were clean. Check in and out was east for us. We were not bothered by the street noise but it may seem loud to others. One thing to note is we found one poor guy trying to check in at 11 pm and no one was at reception even though the posted hours said reception would still be open. 11 is pretty late. So if you need late check in make sure you notify hostel at booking. Beds were really firm. My bus loved them, it was a bit firm for me.

The location right in Chinatown is excellent for a foodie or someone who doesn’t want to take taxi’s or tuk tuks. The rooms are comfortable, but the bathrooms are a little tight. It is very quiet at night. The staff is amazing. I had a ceiling leak in my room at night, after the front desk closed. I messaged through the booking app and someone came within 15 minutes to offer a different room. There is not a lift, only stairs. The rooms are only on the 3rd and 4th floors. The breakfast is a little meek, toast with margarine and jam and instant drinks or water. But right outside are a bunch of cafes and restaurants.

Great location. It’s in Chinatown in the middle of the busy streets. Laundry dryer did not work or was not available. No enough space to air dry the laundry either.

I love everything. They even gave us free breakfast. I love it. It has a hose pipe in the toilet!! The location is very convenient. It has a pharmacy just downstairs and is near 7e. It is also near the Chinatown night market!! It's easy to find food around. We were assigned to the fourth floor and there was no lift. But we don't mind it as the staff help us to carry our luggage

Laundry baskets were broken, would be a quick fix.

1. Great location, just a few short minutes away from, MRT (Wat Mangkon), Sampaeng Market 2. Friendly staff, helpful in their recommendation on where to go 3. Helpful security guard - locked myself out in the middle of the night and i'm super grateful that the guard ran up and down to find help, so that I can reaccess to my room 4. Safe - Had the entire mixed dorm suite to myself as there were no other guests. Was initially afraid but after awhile, i began to adjust in and was comfortable 1. No lift, gotta use the stairs.. 2. Stayed in the mixed dorm - toilet is not ensuite 3. Bed curtains a little too thin - able to see the lights sip through the curtains when housekeeping turned on the light while tiding the room in the morning

there is no A/C out of the room, and the waethet at this time is super hot

Price seem to be higher than others around the same area but I cannot tell whether they are of the same cleaniness, comfort & friendliness

Always enjoy staying here, location, facilities, staff, cleanliness, comfort it is a well thought design, and decor. The service always excedes my expectations, have been coming here for years and is always great, and the upkeep of the facility. Breakfast has been minimized, but still enough to get you going in the morning. I

This property is in a very good location right by a train station in China Town. You can easily get to many of the popular tourist destinations from here like the Grand Palace and Golden Mount temples within 30 minutes or less. There’s lots of good street food nearby as well. The outside of the hotel looks a bit old and run down but inside the room it was simple, clean and nice, the ac worked well. The hotel also held our bags in a locked room before check in which was nice. The staff at the desk can speak English. There is also a free breakfast that has toast, milk, jam, cereal, and juice. There is no elevator but this wasn’t a big deal for us.
