bed was clean. there was AC when in room. Mini frig was good! 7-11 very close by to get more. ac takes a long time to be effective as apparently no power if not in room. TV turns on loudly a few minutes after activating power to the room with the key card but it wasn't on when I left, so this is some delayed automatic setting with initial room entry. Annoying, as I'm in bathroom when it starts blasting. I thought i selected a English speaking tour NOT including train market using front desk. It did. "tour" wa s essentially pointing to next meeting point and giving the time in English. Thank goodness I was let off first. Taxi arranged by hotel from airport took me to WRONG Siri. While I questioned driver, security/bellman took my bags into building. Driver shown the Siri Oriental business card with Thai and English when I asked if correct hotel, nodding Yes. I wanted my bags back. driver gone. Hotel says my booking was not with them and called me another cab. I had to pay another cab. At Siri Oriental was told I would receive refund, but I didn't.

I really liked the beds. The most comfortable of my recent travels. There was a good breakfast resturant attached to the hotel. The hotel had free combs and razors and other useful things people often forget available at the front desk. The staff were helpful. I noticed the hotel had options to tour the area from the hotel. The area was a little sketchy, but maybe that is just Bangkok.

The beds were very comfortable. The restaurant on the property had a good breakfast. There are 3 siris in the area. Tuk Tuk drivers were confused but not grab drivers

The place was very clean, the staff were friendly. There were bugs everywhere. In the washroom, in your hotel room, in the buffet even dead bugs in the food. I didn’t feel like eating the food when I saw that. We have stayed in much cheaper hotels and never saw this issue.

The room got a bit of noise from outside. I wish the food quality was better in the breakfast (croissants, bread etc.). If you are not used to Thai food, good luck.

Great personnel doing their best to make stay very nice, very good location in a strict centre, varied breakfast.

There was a lift to our floor. The breakfast included an egg chef and some gluten free cereals which was good because when you have no kitchenette travelling it can be difficult when you have food allergies. The bathroom was pretty good. The aircon worked well. Room smelt strange (damp?) so we had to put the aircon on constantly to try clear the mustiness out. The condition of the room was a bit shabby (broken curtain rings, small damages etc) and surprised me on arrival. The area around the hotel was quite boring, dirty and depressing but I should probably have researched better before choosing this area.

The location was fantastic… just minutes by tuk tuk to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Khao San Street. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, but not great for vegetarians or people with allergies who had limited safe options. The beds were very comfortable and they provided tons of pillows. The only issue we had was that there was a strong sewage smell coming out of the bathroom… we kept the door closed and it wasn’t a problem. There was also a smell coming from the AC unit, so it is probably due for a cleaning and new filter.

A good location. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. We had no wifi in our room when we checked in. The receptionist worked with tech support and us for over an hour. The issue continued. We changed rooms and it was better for a short time. We ended up using tethering from our phones for data for our whole stay. It was still a pleasant stay.

We loved the breakfast and the kitchen staff, especially the lead cook who was so kind in ensuring we had vegetarian options. The location is in old Bangkok and you can walk to the Grand Palace and the place with the best sticky rice + mango. The staff helped us book a private taxi for a day trip and they were super helpful. I would not recommend walking in the area at night as it did seem a bit dodgy. It is on the budget end, but we had everything we needed and it was clean.

There was not much variety of food and beverages on breakfasts

Sadly, I got room with very bad odor coming from the bathroom... I tried to tell the hotel staff and they work on it and the bad smell is gone... only for it to come back again tomorrow.

Location seemed okay for activities we were interested in doing. 1. The staff at the morning breakfast buffet were short as they would not accept room key as evidence of occupant. They would only accept this little paper coupon that was in the room key envelope. 2. Only 1 room key given. But this room key had to stay in a wall receptacle so the room could have electricity. If one occupant left, they were without a room key as remaining occupant had to have key for electricity. To have a 2nd key costed extra each day.

Friendly, clean Internet issues on my floor. Basically had to go to the lobby for a good connection

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was very convenient. You need to be prepared for the neighbourhood if you aren’t accustomed to the living conditions in Bangkok.
