Great value for money, good location, cleaned regularly, AC working well in the rooms. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of activities organized by the hostel to join if you travel alone and fancy company.

I had an amazing stay at Black Swan Hostel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The hostel is exceptionally clean, with well-maintained rooms and common areas that made our stay very comfortable. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the main attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. What truly made our experience special was the incredible staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with recommendations or any questions we had. A special thank you to the two staff members who organized and joined us for a night out with a small group of fellow travelers. They created such a fun and friendly atmosphere, making it easy for everyone to connect and enjoy the evening. We had an unforgettable time, shared great conversations, visited some fantastic spots, and made wonderful memories together. Their enthusiasm and kindness really went above and beyond what you would normally expect from hostel staff. If you’re looking for a clean, well-located hostel with an outstanding team that genuinely cares about its guests, Black Swan Hostel is the perfect choice. I would definitely stay here again!

I was welcomed by Nico who was super warm, helpful and welcoming. The energy was great, everyone were in great spirits and very welcoming. A great place to stay if you are traveling alone, as they offer many activities and free dinners (!) AND the opportunity to socialize if you wish to.

The staff and volunteers were all so kind and eager to help however they could (shoutout Nico!), and the provided dinners were delicious. Everything was clean and taken care of, and I felt completely safe.

I loved it here. Everything was super clean, comfortable, & the staff always very friendly. I have no complaints. Everything was exceptional!

The staff was very nice

This is the hostel you want to go to if you want a semi-social vibe. It’s not as social as other hostels Ive been to, but social enough with activities that you can join in and participate. Good for day explorers who want to occasionally join night outs. Note tho that you have to pay 20euros for the pub crawl. Superb location. Close and very accessible by foot or by bus to most tourist spots. Beds are spacious with curtains. Although the rooms lowkey feel like a monastery lol, which is kind of good also since it has a very “solemn” vibe. I had great sleep (with ear plugs on). The staff are nice (and goodlooking hahaha). The free dinners are a plus. Small portions, but hey it’s free. One toilet area and one shower area for the whole building and they are on different floors. I recognize that the staff do try to mingle with everyone and make everyone feel welcome, but I felt the lack of a “family” kind of bond or social energy in the hostel. It doesnt feel as youthful nor as close knit socially. I guess the hostel attracts a more individualistic and “edgier” demographic. I met a few people, but there was no “vibe” that “forces” you to bond. Maybe it’s also because the place is big(?), then again this is just based from my POV. Other people might have felt the “magic” I was yearning for.

The building stays fairly warm which gets uncomfortable if you run warm.

Showers were ok and location was very good. Friendly staff. Only toilet was on the second floor, if you need to pee in the midle of the night forget it… Not many paper towels. Super bright light in the bedrooms, curtains works for nothing, terrible noise coming from the streets at all hours not to mention inside the room since there was people coming at all hours talking loud and turning on the light, terrible smell coming from inside a locker, some humid clothes and shoes I think. There isn’t silence rules, or at least the other guests didn’t care, so I couldn’t sleep 30min the entire night… If you are 20-30 and in Barcelona for party, the experience must be excelent, there was some good vibes, but for someone who needed a good night of sleep, not the beat option.

bathrooms were way too cramped. hardly any room for your backpack or luggage. too many people in such a small hostel.

location, cleanness, and staff are more than amazing; especially the staff they were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. it is kind of expensive for a shared beds stay.
