Alternative Creative Youth Hostel Barcelona

The hostel was spotless, and the staff were super friendly, polite, and professional. A great perk is that for an extra 10€, you can leave your backpack at reception and use the hostel facilities until 10:00 PM, which is brilliant if you have a late flight Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the other guests in the room. People were scruffy and messy making it feel more like a makeshift shelter than a proper hostel.

the staff was nice and when i needed somewhere to stay last minute they took me. the lockers were big the vibes were messy in all aspects. the showers/ bathrooms and everything seemed like they were rarely cleaned and very outdated and crusty. the rooms were very unnecessarily cold.

Location and carpeted entry staircase (but thankfully the old school elevator worked!!). Lights out rule felt more like a boarding school than a tourist hostel.

Guy at reception was very professional and helpful during my stay. I missed my flight and needed a place to stay for the night. Rooms were too tight with a window that allowed anyone from outside to see your room/bed. Overall the price speaks for itself.

Staff are really friendly. I checked in late when I arrived in Barcelona. And they helped me to transfer to another hostel the next day when they closed the one I'm supposed to stay into.

Good

The location There were no rooms and no doors. You can hear everything and everyone. The "rooms" were only separated with a curtain. From the reception and from the kitchen there were no doors so you can hear everything from there also. The bathroom is very small and men and women together there are just shower cabins. Zero privacy and there's no place where you can change your dress. It was the worst hostel I have ever been to. It was way overpriced for what it offered!!!

24 hour reception us always a PLUS. The girl staff members were polite and friendly and helpful the male staff overnight not so much. Free tea and cookies is a plus ?. Great area! everything you need stores, shops are right around the corner! Easy to meet people. Clear instructions on how to arrive even for slow people like me. Showers are the worst! Literally only stay on for 1.5 seconds! you have to keep pressing the button for the entire duration of your shower! So basically learn how to shower it one hand and press the button the whole time with the other unless you want to keep pressing it over and over. The overall feel did not feel that clean, evernthough sheets and pillows smelled very clean, it was all worn out time to invest in some new sheets and pillow cases. last minute booking cost me almost $100 usd for one night here! Very small room with 8 beds crammed inside, literally no room to barely walk. Everything needs to be updated. New sheets, showers, couch covers were full of stains etc. Please guys you can make this a better place ?. Oh last thing and most important, at 10am is Check-out and you need to be off of the premises! unless you want to pay extra to hang in the lobby otherwise no free luggage storage after 2pm and you need to leave the hostel after 10am when you check out. Hope this helps
