The hospitality was outstanding.

The staff was great and went out of their way to help. Great historical building and we liked the location. We were coming off a cruise early in the morning and the staff stored the luggage until the room was ready and moved it into the room. We would stay there again. The B&B entrance is on the third floor, there is an elevator but it only goes down to the 2nd floor. The staff were very helpful with the luggage.

Love the property’s safe & upscale location and lovely breakfast. So nice to have a lounge with 24/7 lattes and tea. Very relaxing for afternoon card games. We could see the casa mila from our balcony! The concierge Alex was very helpful. . Almost Everything was wonderful. Only drawback - there Was a family staying with kids who were extremely loud and screaming & crying late at night for extended periods of time -so maybe the soundproofing needs to be addressed

Excellent location , Alex welcomed us and offered suggestions for entertainment and restaurants. Lodging clean and uniquely vintage! Look forward to my next stay there!

The old charm, location, cleanest and service. One a minor thing, we arrived in the evening and the entrance to reach the hotel is not clear. The staff is extremely responsive and very friendly!

Last minute booking for us and it really met the moment. Super location to make everything walkable in one of the worlds great walking cities. Staff was super helpful and everything they recommended was just what we like. The room was excellent and the best feature was a beautiful terrace to hang out on after long walk days. The vibe was so nice at 1905. Breakfast was a beautiful room with lots of tasty fruit and such. Definitely stay there again on future stay in Barcelona. Not a thing. This stay really filled our hearts and relaxed our tired travel bodies for a few days.

The only challenge was the staircase before the entrance with luggage. Also, the bathroom didn't have hooks or shelving.

The classic atmosphere of a traditional house dated around 1905. Spacious room with high ceilings, beautiful floors, excellent bed and furniture. Comfortable bathroom with nice shower. Quiet room with excellent shutters. Very attentive and kind staff! Nothing to complain about.

The location you cannot beat. I love the quaint field of the hotel. It’s like stepping back 1902 You just need to be careful with the step that goes from the bathroom to main part of the room

We had the pleasure of staying at Circa 1905 for two nights—March 19 and March 20, 2026—in a double room with balcony. We very much enjoyed our time at this eloquent, historically maintained B&B, together with its charming vintage decor. The room was very clean and well appointed with a balcony facing the street below. It is centrally located in Barcelona and is near all of the major sights and attractions. Alex was an excellent and experienced host, very helpful, and provided sound recommendations for two wonderful tapas restaurants, which we enjoyed; both the delicious menus and the active Barcelona restaurant vibes. The included breakfast was hearty and very nice. Alex received us upon checking-in at the B&B, arranged for a taxi upon our departure early on March 21, and was horrified by our being taken advantage of by an unscrupulous taxi driver on our trip from the cruise port to Circa 1905—charging 45 euros vs. the usual 20 euros! We really enjoyed the ability to watch busy people pass by on the street below from our balcony. If ever we were to return to Barcelona, we would most certainly stay at Circa 1905. It has everything you need…and so much more! Being ripped off by a taxi driver travelling from the cruise port to the B&B!!!

Quaint, elegant and great location How pretty it was with classy and tasteful furnishings

The house and the details are perfect and charming I don’t like the cleaning products they use the house is deeply perfumed and it’s off-putting You should use natural cleaners with scents like Citrus mint eucalyptus or lavender if you must use any scents at all. I also think some of the cutesy stuff in the hall undermines the truly impressiveness of the house but that’s a matter of taste
