Great stay! Very helpful staff and Esther was brilliant. Recommend everyone to stay there.

Every night a traveller would be knocking and ringing bell at 2 am because there was not reception and no clear directives for check in

The location is great, our room with balcony was beautiful, the coffee was good. Check-in was difficult because we couldn't get into the building. The apartment has no soundproofing, so you can hear everything everyone says. The room overlooks a main thoroughfare, so there are trucks, busses and motorcycles going by all night. Good earplugs are a must! I bought some at the Rossmans downstairs.

Only 1 shower. No window in bedroom. Really noisy.

It was close to the center. even though the bathroom was shared, it was really clean and pleasant. Our room had a shared balcony with the hall so I felt a little bit unsafe, the room was old and it had a queen and twin sized bed. the twin sized bed looked like a hospital bed so all 3 of us slept on the queen sized bed. The sheets were only changed once in the 6 days and i do not know if it was the material but the bedding was itchy and I had a rash on my face which cleared up later

Very great location and owner seemed very nice. Your stay is very dependent on the people you stay with and share the apartment with. Unfortunately we were unlucky the first two days with a very loud couple next door, we would wake up very early due to their loud voices and they would keep the bathroom very unclean, even though the apartment offer cleaning every day. The day they moved out, our stay automatically became much nicer and cleaner.

the whole place is very run down and dirty. All the rooms seemed to be pre historic and it all needs a deep cleanse. The woman's bathroom was the cleanest but it was still notably dirty. It wasn't too bad that we had to leave but it was still unpleasant. We refused to walk barefoot anywhere. The staff also wasn't very cooperative and there was a city tax that we weren't informed about.

Very responsive and accommodating owner, let me keep my bags in the place after checkout, was able to go to the beach, come back and shower before my flight. Great all round

We had a large room with a balcony facing the street. We liked having the extra space and our own refrigerator. The bathrooms and shared areas were very nice and contemporary. We were pleased to have access to a coffee maker and the coffee supplied. We had a difficult time finding it. There was only a picture of the interior door and not a picture of what the outside door looked like. As I recall, there was no street number on the outside door or sign.

It's close to the city center and the building is easy to get to. That's really it. It's unbelievably dirty. The floor, the toilets are dirty, the bathrooms are mouldy, the showers are disgusting. I had a single room and there wasn't even one hanger to hang a towel so it was impossible to not have humidity in the room. It also lacked even the smallest mirror. Plus, the bed mattress was shaky and really small (I'm 175cm and my feet were hanging out). While I've been to hostels with thin walls, this was beyond everything I could imagine. Literally, all the doors are making a noise and an echo which would wake anyone up. And my room was facing the elevator (the only window opened to a staircase), so all night I could hear very clearly conversations in the corridor and anyone in the building using the elevator. Seriously, rent it only if you have no other option and you don't plan on spending more than night time there (though, you probably won't be able to fall asleep with all the noise)

Very poor

Great location and bit outside the really busy places but everything is within a short walk.

Sun room and balcony with tables for eating. Clean. Nicely decorated (welcoming). Hairdryer available. Booking says not to click any links a host sends, but that is the only way to enter the property. The common area had doors to the outside open all the time so they were quite cold. I needed to work while there and tried to work in the dining room, but got chilled.

Location is perfect and communication as well. Everything was good,, only my room was small and without any window, the bathroom.too dark and few cups for coffee...if you arrive late, you have coffee but not cup..so they need only to fix something and can get the score of 10

Good location, easy check-in We were in Barcelona in mid-January, so it is not the summer season with high temperatures. The guest house was cold when we arrived at 14 o'clock. Our room was noticeable colder than it was outside which was 13°C that day in sunlight. After 20 minutes of being in the room in a winter coat and boots, we started to feel our limbs getting numb because of the low temperature. We tried to resolve the situation by contacting the owner by Booking.com chat. We were offered the help of a technician while we were at a cafeteria to warm ourselves. When we came back after 2 hours it was as cold as before. That was when we decided to seek accommodation somewhere else since it would be worse during the night when the temperature drops, which could be dangerous to our health and life. On top on that, the place was not cleaned properly. There were spiderwebs under the celling. The walls and furniture were covered in brown stains and the floor looked as it has not seen cleaning in a long while. The bathrooms were discolored and smelling badly. The "kitchen" (fridge) was not clean at all. There was no beautiful furniture with cushions on the terrace or green carpet on the floor as the offer shows. The awnings were old and torn, unfit for use. Not to mention that the paint was peeling off from all of the windows and doors. When we contacted the owner regarding these issues the owner insisted on that the place was spotless, which it clearly is not which you can see for yourself in the pictures attached. There was also an additional payment required which we were not informed about in the offer (city tax of 33 Euro). We feel totally cheated, and were left without a refund to look for another accommodation, which involved unforeseen, additional costs and a waste of our precious time that we could have spent on sightseeing in the beautiful city. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND staying at Des Artistes!!!

Location Horrible and loud people staying in the room next door. There was a connecting door between the two room and we could hear everything they were talking (loud and clear) at late hours. They were also smoking in the room and the smell was coming to our room as well.
