Staff was great and the space is beautiful. Room was very small leaving almost no storage space for clothes or bags which made it feel pretty cramped for two people. There’s also lot of construction outside the room and it’s in a part of town that makes it hard to get to the rest of the city. While you technically can use the pool without a reservation, all the sunbeds and cabanas require pre-booking and take up all the space around the pool making it hard to enjoy spontaneously.

The building is beautiful and the bar and front-desk staff are genuinely kind they’re the only reason this isn’t a one-word review. Everything good here is despite management, not because of it. Almost everything about how this hotel treats the guests who actually pay to stay here. The rooftop pool is the whole reason you book and it’s the one thing you can’t count on using. Guests get ZERO priority for sun beds; you compete with the public and with private events, and none of this is disclosed when you book. Over four nights the rooftop was blocked or closed for private events again and again. For the World Cup final we were told no reservations were needed, then walked up to find it suddenly “reservation-only” and full locked out of our own hotel’s rooftop. This isn’t bad luck, it’s the business model: they sell the rooftop to events and crowds, and paying guests get whatever’s left over. It gets pettier. We had a 4am checkout for an early flight. They arranged a breakfast bag and an airport taxi then charged us for both. Not a single gesture for guests leaving before dawn. Even the one “comp” (a cabana, after I complained in writing) came only because I pushed, and the same rooftop problems happened again afterward. The apology was PR, not change. Stylish photos, real Barcelona views, and a management team that treats its own guests as an afterthought behind event revenue. Book it for the rooftop and you’ll spend your stay fighting for access to it.

The hotel is stylish and clearly positioned as an upscale property, great pool terrace and view of the Sagrada Família with thoughtful details throughout. Its modern design, including real flooring instead of carpet, creates a clean and refined atmosphere. Music in the room added a welcoming touch. Bathroom amenities were high quality, featuring generously sized bottles of soap, lotion, conditioner, and shampoo. The towels were of good quality, and the beds were comfortable with well-appointed pillows. The staff were friendly and approachable. The hotel is stylish and clearly positioned as a higher-end property, but the overall experience lacked the level of thoughtfulness you would expect at this price point. Parking was unnecessarily confusing. There are two lots beneath the hotel, yet no one at check-in mentioned that one is a paid public lot. This resulted in an avoidable extra charge that could have easily been prevented with clearer communication during reservation booking and check-in. All entrances except the main door were locked. In 100°F heat, having to walk all the way around the building with luggage and children felt unreasonable and poorly considered. It’s hard to understand the rationale behind limiting access in this way. The most disruptive issue was the construction directly in front of the hotel. Loud hammering began around 7:30 am and continued throughout, making it difficult to rest or enjoy the room. There was no prior warning, no acknowledgment at check-in, and no effort to mitigate the impact, such as offering earplugs. Additionally, despite booking for four guests, the room was not properly prepared. The sofa bed was not made, and there were not enough towels, requiring us to follow up with housekeeping after arrival. Overall, while the hotel looks polished, the lack of attention to guest experience and basic communication made the stay feel below expectations for the price.

The room was clean and beautifully decorated. We got a direct view of the Sagrada. We got an extra keycard which was helpful to keep the room cool while we were out. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The restaurant and lobby are also beautifully decorated and clean. The hotel is also conveniently located next to the tram that runs diagonal through most of central Barcelona. The staff on the rooftop were a bit rude when me and my husband were visiting. Quickly covered the cabana rental sign stating “this area is only for guests of the hotel” when I tried to take a picture to reserve. I informed them I was a guest and got a weird look; no apologies. The pool looked like it needed to be cleaned, and was much smaller than the pictures make it out to be. That section of the roof is also incredibly packed so if you don’t rent a cabana or pool chair it would be very hard to swim. This hotel is expensive, and while it met my expectations it did not exceed them.

There was a bar downstairs and I could hear it in my room throughout the night, this hotel is in an area where there is not much around and nothing in walking distance, all major sites were within about half an hour to an hours walk away.

Great hotel with free parking. As the exact parking location is not very clear and may cause some confusion, I’m including the description from the hotel’s official website below: - We have parking onsite. To access, head over to Carrer de Badajoz 174. You’ll find three different parking entrances next to each the other. We’re the one in the middle! Breakfast was fairly average; I expected a much higher standard from a hotel of this type and quality. Our room key card was deactivated 15 minutes before the official checkout time, which left us temporarily locked between the underground parking area and our room. In addition, the rooftop door was never open during our stay.
