Decent sized room and bath. Hot water and wifi worked well. Hostess was friendly Advertised free breakfast but other than a cup of coffee and something she unappealingly described as “dry biscuits”. But for €6 to €11 you could bet a better breakfast. I felt like I’d been scammed. I left having none of it

Great location, and I was so glad I didn’t stay in old town. The neighborhood was quite happening especially at night. Room was very big and had a great bathroom. Refrigerator there also and great wi fi. It was great.

Had the best stay here for my time in Bari, from the moment I arrived Antonella made me feel so at home and the room was set up so perfectly. Based in a great location too I could happily walk everywhere I wanted to. When I’m back in Bari I’ll be coming back here for sure!

Lovely place with patina and old gorgeous furnitures. Close to everything and many good eateries and cafes nearby. Antonella was very welcoming, warm hearted and helpful. I had a great stay in her place

The only drawback I can think of is the room is facing the street so there's a bit of traffic noise but it's not too bad, just some ambient medium traffic noise. Location is good, 10 minutes walking distance to Bari train station or the modern part of city center with restaurants and shops. Maybe 15-20 minutes to old town (it's a nice walk). But if you wanna wake up in the old town, then this accommodation is not for you.

'Chimera' is located on a busy Bari artery in the newer part of town but close to all the sights, seafront, shops, restaurants & the old town maze. In contrast to some of the other towns in Puglia I visited, Bari (like any big city) is busy spot. However, it has a lot to offer. The property is situated in an historic building so there's a lot of steps up to the entrance level on 3rd floor (lift is available on request). My room in 'Chimera' overlooked the street but being up on one of the higher levels noise was not a problem. The room itself was beautiful; very spacious, clean, bright with high period ceilings. Tea/coffee making facilities available. Compact modern bathroom area. It was a 5* setting! The host was very friendly & welcoming to me; provided lots of information & recommendations. I stayed @ 'Chimera' for 2 nights and was very relaxed & comfortable throughout. I ate at some nice restaurant and saw most of the main sights. The old town area is about a 15min walk - the train station approx 5min. In conclusion if you are contemplating visiting the city of Bari make 'Chimera' your No#1 choice. It beats staying at an generic hotel. Everything suited my tastes so "nothing" to complain about!

The room itself was spaceful, nicely decorated, and you can see personal touch in details. It seemed clean. The room has a nice terrace. Overall impression is very positive. Neighbourhood can be a bit loud, but it is probably for most of the Bari. The location is between the central station and the old city, which for me was perfect, so street noise didn't bother me much.

The property is on a main street in the centre of Bari and is convenient for the railway station. It is on the second floor of a big old apartment building and, while the communal area is not that inviting, once you get into the B&B things definitely improve. I was very impressed by my spacious room, the ceiling must be about 5 metres high! The room was nicely furnished with a big comfy bed, sofa, chair and a lovely pair of shuttered windows leading to a balcony, The en suite bathroom is one of the best I've had. One of the best features though is the manager, Antonella. Her communication is second to none, she speaks very good English and was always very quick to respond. Obviously, in the middle of a busy Italian city you're going to get traffic noise, but it's all part of the experience.

A gorgeous, well-maintained room in an old apartment building, suitable for singles or couples. Antonella, the host, was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Obviously not a 5-star hotel but the room and its facilities are excellent and the location is easy walking distance to the seafront, train, bus and coach stations. Nothing to dislike. The small, ancient lift adds to the charm. Ideally the stairways could be better auto-lit at night to make the walk down steps from the lift to the B&B less of a health and safety risk, but it probably comes with it being an old apartment building.
