The location was well situated near the motorway but not so close that noise pollution invaded the room and created difficulty sleeping or any other discomfort. Only a short walk to Basingstoke town centre for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also to have a look around the town and shopping centre. The room was larger than expected, very modern, nicely decorated and clean. The bar area on the ground floor was well decorated, clean, the staff were really nice and helpful and the whole hotel had a really nice atmosphere. There wasn't much of a view form the hotel room window, although I understand that this can't always be helped and is solely dependent on the location of the building.

Really happy with my stay at this hotel. I checked in super late after midnight and it was straightforward and quick. The room was clean and inviting. Bathroom clean with lovely toiletries. Brekkie was lovely, and had all the hot food brekkie essentials and Continental essentials. I requested veggie sausages and they were made for me.

Staff were pleasant, and breakfast was ok. The cleanliness in part of the hotel might have been better e.g. tables in the bar and dining room often not wiped/clean after previous use. There wasn’t sufficient staff on most days.

Interior I was so disappointed I booked a double bed not two singles pushed together I then raised this with the staff and they moved us so we had to pack everything up and move room to them find out it was two single beds again! Then I went back down stairs checked out the third room and again it was two singles the receptionist then ran upstairs and checked our room before we had to move for the fourth time and it still not be correct, we finally then got our correct room however no tv signal so no channels.. no complimentary water by the time we got shuffled about until we had the room I paid for we could not be bothered to go down stairs to try get out tv working or our water. My boyfriends 21st birthday was absolutely ruined! We then ordered a taxi through the hotel and it took 50 mins because they forgot to actually ask them to collect us which made us late to Miller and Carter which meant we had to cancel his birthday meal and get an Uber eats! So terribly disappointed

Clean, friendly staff and spacious room

The lady on reception was incredibly accommodating - helping me to order food before I went to my room because I had arrived at the hotel later in the evening. I didn't get a copy of my invoice for my hotel stay as I had booked through Booking.com and so the card I used for the booking was automatically used for the bill. I would have preferred to have been given the option on departure and to have a copy invoice.

Bed was huge! Very comfortable, clean room. Good breakfast. Lovely area to sit outside and enjoy a starbucks! The only thing that could make the hotel any better would be to have a pool.
