Checked in late, after 10 and front desk staff were not pleasant. Booked 2 rooms for my party expecting the rooms to be next door or at the very least, on the same floor. However, rooms were on different floors. Key card for one room didn’t work so had to go back down. Desk agents were not welcoming.

This is our 2nd stay at the hotel. The staff are amazing people, very friendly and always willing to help to make the stay more enjoyable. From the front desk, restaurant, and cleaning staff. The property is well maintained, pool area is very inviting and the grandchildren loved swimming there. The food was delicious, wait staff very friendly and the bartenders were awesome at making drinks and just service.

I check in with my daughter and they had booked us into a King, while I had requested 2 queens. The front desk staff went out of their way to change our room (we were upgraded) and we really appreciated it. They could have USB chargers built into the furniture in the rooms.

The fridge was on the floor and was not level. Then we asked for a microwave. There was mo place to put it, and it was so unlevel the fridge barely stayed closed.

Clean room, decent pool, decent gym, great restaurant and bar.

Property is beautiful and clean room service was delicious must try the fork and knife grilled cheese and the charcuterie board!

Nonpareil accommodations, friendly staff, and the made to order omlets by Mr. Dan are nothing short of "superb!" Great Customer Service Team!

Nice comfortable beds and pillows. There were no plugs for one side of the bed, which made plugging in a phone to charge difficult. The fact that the “incidentals” shop was located on a different floor than the lobby was inconvenient. The room was very clean and quiet. It was nice not having the hotel located next to the interstate because there was no traffic noise. Overall, a nice stay

The breakfast experience was also disappointing. The muffins tasted stale, and the boxed eggs were watery and unappetizing. Room service/housekeeping never checked in with us during our stay, so we constantly had to speak up, follow up, and advocate for ourselves just to receive the level of service that should have been standard. The bar was easily the worst part of the experience. Wait times were extremely long, even for simple orders, and the bartenders appeared poorly trained and unprepared to manage guests efficiently. The overall service lacked attentiveness, organization, and urgency. What was most frustrating was feeling as though quality service was only provided after we complained or repeatedly asked for assistance. Guests should not have to constantly advocate for basic cleanliness, communication, and hospitality—especially when paying hotel prices. This property needs stronger staff training, better quality control, and more consistent guest service before I could recommend it. Ex. Pool had little to no towels when guest rarely used the pool area. For the price paid nightly I would recommend a holiday inn or nearby Hilton that would be lower in price and higher in overall Baton Rouge experience.

We visit Baton Rouge quite often as our married son and family lives there, and particularly not far away from where the hotel is located. They live in a small house so quite often we rather stay in a hotel. This is the best option period. Not only Quality/Price, but location, amenities, parking, restaurant, bar, and most importantly: EXCELLENT SERVICE. Since the moment you are arriving until the moment you are leaving. Do not over think it. If this hotel is available, it is a no mistake choice, always !!

I had prepared for my room ahead of time...and when I got there they charged my card for 261 like I hadn't paid...said it would take 5-10 days to get my money back...im not rich...that is my live on .money...so I left baton Rouge to go back to shreveport with none of my money...and all they could say was sorry the person checking u in wasn't paying attention

Very nice and modern. Staff is awesome. Love staying here. So refreshing to see staff and the overall property upkeep is just awesome.
-
Bathroom was dirty but they said we stayed on the 28th he checked in and left within 30 minute after he got into the room. Staff

The room was clean and well appointed, what you would expect from a Marriott property. I would rate the rooms at the Renaissance just underneath your standard AC Hotel room - similar fixtures and room amenities. However, this location seemed aged, the shower leaked and had a low-flow shower head. Plus there was only night stand wired for power and it wasn’t working. So all electronics had to be charged on the floor from wall outlets. Also there was ice and soft drink vending on the floor, but no filtered water dispenser.

The WiFi was awful. Made it difficult to watch tv.

One thing that really upset my wife and I is an event the staff didn't mention to us on check in. My wife and I used this past weekend as a smooth little getaway. We paid a good amount of money to be here. We went out to eat and come back but once we came back there was a huge car line lined up to the hotel. I had to drive past the hotel and follow the car line and get behind where I could. The car line was for parents picking up and dropping off kids for a school dance.....we waited in a car line for 35 minutes just to be able to get to the parking lot to park. The staff failed to mention that on arrival and if I would've known that I would've made other accommodations. The other stuff that made the trip was minuscule. The room needs a bigger TV for how big the room is and have an availability to connect our streaming services to. I've stayed at hotels for 2 nights for $200 that had more of detailed staff and better services. I paid $450 for this weekend to stay. This hotel was supposed to be one of the top hotels in the area. It didn't feel like it.
