Staff was very friendly and helpful. All three of them. Apartment had two terraces with nice views, comfortable chairs. KItchen could not be used. Need to have extended stay, tell in advance and pay for privilege of using it. I did not see anything on Booking.com when I made reservation about this. Nor there website, although I may have missed this. Apartments with kitchens always allow them to use them, except once where we found out we had to pay, but all we had to do was tell them when we got into the room. It's the one negative and it's a big one for an apartment. They should change this policy.

The staff and location were fabulous and breakfast was pleasant. Two pillows were provided for each of us. One was flat as a pancake, the other was terribly lumpy. So it was hard to get a good nights sleep. The thing that intrigued us the most was the ridiculous rule that bringing wine or food into our room was ‘forbidden’ as was putting any of your own items in the fridge. It spoilt our stay as we would have liked to enjoy a wine and cheese on our balcony which had fabulous views overlooking the lake. While this has never happened in any other hotel we have ever stayed in, they should be up front about these rules. If we had known we wouldn’t have booked there.

I really appreciated the free direct access garage parking, the huge room with a minibar and tea kettle, but most of all the friendly welcome from Roberto at the reception: from checking on the arrival time twice to make sure everyone arrives to an open door, to offering a complimentary coffee even though I didn’t book any breakfast, to looking for the AirPods left behind in the room in a rush, to calling to remind me to pick them up and eventually mailing them to me! Breakfast options could be improved if someone is a “rich breakfast” type

Best thing about the property was Roberto who ran the reception and was exceptionally warm, friendly and helpful

The staff ate congenial and professional. The location is excellent. (The bus stop to/from MXP was a short 4 minute walk away). My room was spotless, as were all the common areas and breakfast room. Never quite got the room temp comfortable, but then again, I didn’t ask for assistance.

About room the view from balcony was perfect. Room is big. Also location is easy to access to lake. I really appreciate to their service. She made our days perfect. The room wifi was not enough to connect to PC but I heard they were fixing those problems so should be better now. If you don’t get good connection they have great connection at 1st floor!

Breakfast was all fresh and varied, catered for all tastes. We couldn’t fault the quality or presentation......a pleasure!!

Hotel Al Campanile is a lovely accommodation right in the centre of Baveno, a short walk to restaurants and bars and the edge of stunning Lake Maggiore. Stresa which is definitely worth a visit - is just 5-10 minutes by car. The accommodation is very well located and has private undercroft parking (separate charge) with generous spaces for a larger vehicle if needed. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we dealt with a gentleman on arrival and with Tatiana and Melissa on departure. Before our stay we received excellent communication from the hosts who offered upgraded suite accommodation at a small additional charge which we accepted. The room itself was spacious and light with views of the lake and mountains. There was everything we needed for our stay. We had a large double bed, an additional sofa bed for our teenage son (which was very generous and comfortable) and an ensuite bathroom. Our stay was superb and the Navagacione boat transport across the lake to the Borromean Islands is a must and is good value and easy walking distance from this accommodation. We were also fortunate enough to see the evening light and water show on the edge of the lake and live music in the square close by which made our one night stay even more enjoyable. Thankyou for your friendliness and hospitality. This is a great pace to stay and I would highly recommend it. Nothing it was all good. The undercroft parking is a great paid option for safety and security if this is what you are looking for as we were, but there is ample parking in the area including a car park at the rear which looked like public parking (not sure if it was paid or not). Parking is something we always read reviews on so I just wanted to add this in for anyone interested in this aspect.

We got a room with small minibar refrigerator, this is not an apartment. Be aware, the reception closes at 20:00

Good location within Baveno. Staff were polite. Room didn’t feel very secure. Instructions in the room weren’t very welcoming as they gave you a list of things not to do rather than inviting you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay. Duvet had make up stains from another guest. Under the beds was dirty. No hand soap. Not the hotel’s fault but there was a lot of noise the first night from a local bar. It would have helped if the parking garage was better signposted.

The amenities were top notice. Exceptionally clean. And knowledgeable and friendly staff. Not that I didn’t like about them but more about me. I wished I had stayed longer.

Located very well: close to everything (ferry, train, bus, centre) but quiet though. Large, modern and very clean room. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place.
