Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were generally helpful, particularly the concierge who helped with a number of great restaurant recommendations and bookings

Lovely staff. Without having to ask, I was given a half-day discount when I was checking out and they learned that my flight was super early in the morning and I had to leave the hotel by 10 pm, rather than the following day, which is what I had booked for Breakfast could have been better — options wise. Exec floor food in the mornings and evenings was also lackluster. No one greets u when you first arrive — was late night for me — to help bring luggage into the hotel.. I was eventually offered help by the front desk to get my bags up to my room but at that point I just wheeled them to the elevator and my room myself.

My upgrade I booked King superior room with new furniture on the pictures. But first they gave me the room with the very old carpet and furniture and bathroom, very bad. So I asked to change the room because on booking.com there were other pictures. Not from the first time, but the guy on reception agreed and gave me the other good room with the bath!

Location & cleanliness The A/C on 14th floor was completely down (especially the fan system because the cooling is off since the weather is cold) so there weren’t any ventilation & it was very hot & no fresh air, called them & they didn’t care & didn’t changer the room, also the shower bath was plugged & the water was not discharging.

Beautiful location in the business district.The river/ pond garden/park behind the hotel is unique. It is filled with walkways, bridges and modern restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel is outstanding, variety and quality is very high. Variety of in-house restaurants for lunch and dinner. Strong room service. Beautiful rooms, and the renovation is still ongoing. Amenities are excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff. They use translator apps effectively, when necessary. The price we paid was probably 1/3 of US or 1/5 of Europe prices for comparable service.

I had high expectations for Kempinski Hotel Beijing, especially because it’s a 5-star hotel. I expected excellent customer service and professional front desk staff, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The information provided on Booking.com was misleading — the bed size in reality was much smaller than what was described online. Because of this issue, I had to pay an additional 600 RMB to get an extra bed. Overall, it was a frustrating and unpleasant stay that did not meet the standards of a five-star hotel.

You need to invest in such young talents and they were top ambassadors for the Kempinski Brand. Loved my stay, will come again!
