Da Orla Pampulha Hostel

The location is great! The reception staff is super helpful, and the bed was super comfortable. I had a very pleasant night, and the view of the lagoon and park at night is beautiful. I would like there to be separation bars or some kind of barrier between the spaces because if you have pets or small children you have to stay behind them all the time because there are several stairs and gaps.

Nothing! Great breakfast! I recommend it to all visitors.

Cheap and good value. Facilities generally worked even if it was a bit worn. Good Wi-Fi and common area was okay. Bed wasn’t great, didn’t get the best sleep.

All the staff are helpful & friendly especially Luisa. Not only she can speak English which makes communication easy but she also accompanied me to a nearby clinic to get a medical treatment. I am soooo grateful for the help. The dorm is spacious & comfortable. The air-condition & wifi works well. Breakfast is good and the location opposite the lake is nice. Not an issue for me, but just to warn people who has mobility problem that the hostel is at level 4 so there are some stairs to climb. Parking is outside in the open. I parked my motorcycle (covered with a bike cover) for 2 nights and everything was good.

Everyone from the staff were really nice! But if you want to leave the bags before check in time or after check out the charge you with half a day, for me this is so unpleasant and I don’t remember any other place where this happens

Location was great and the people working were very friendly! Was quite difficult to communicate and requires a 50% deposit before we arrived. I had booked two rooms for myself and my friends and they initially thought we needed to pay to have more people stay but there wasn’t an option to add more in the booking. Would have been nice to have a towel and shampoo/soap as well.

Location: Location was on top! Breakfast: Breakfast was super poor with not much to choose from. Facilities: The facilities falls on what the hostel advertise however, the main stairs that gives you in and out access to the hostel had no lights, It was quite dangerous going down/up those stairs, I had to always have my phone torch on to guide me up and down, that’s how dark it was. Service: I went to this hostel with the intention to stay one night only. However I ended up staying 2 extra nights and that was purely because I received a super service by two of the hostel’s staff. I felt super accommodated by San and Lidiane. Two amazing human beings who had always a smile to spare. They’ve made sure I had all I needed and they didn’t hold back on helping me with any request I had.
