Functional hotel good breakfast that Japanese style

The mats were a bit hard to sleep on. Bathroom was really small

If you stumble upon this ryokan and youre thinking if you should book or not - the answer is YES. Beppu is a really great place and we had a lot of fun not only because of the great city itself, but also because Nogami Honkan was really awesome to stay in. The staff is super nice, the private onsens are really great especially with friends and family, and the public baths are really good as well. Highly recommend

Really enjoyed the onsen and the comfy beds. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Great to have access to laundry too! Breakfast was a bit confusing (having to cook your own fish and tofu) and not super appetising but an interesting experience!

We loved the baths! They have private and public baths. The futons were comfortable and location was pretty good. Close to the beach as well This is minor but the windows open really wide. We were worried our kids would fall out while playing

Room Location

Good location, walkable to both Beppu highway bus station and central station. A big mall is just across the property. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Room was roomy. Breakfast was well served! None.

nice cosy ryokan a bit old, need some refurbish

Had a nice, big tatami room with futons for a traditional feel. Not far from Beppu Station and a lot of good restaurants. Tea and water machine by the elevator was convenient. Wifi didn't work well. The onsen were a bit on the small side, especially the second floor one.

First experience in a more local way of life. No expectations but everything's went well !

Great location and excellent breakfast. The onsite onsens are fantastic and add tremendous value to the experience. Futons and pillows were a little thin for our liking but got used to it after a night!

Beautiful room, friendly staff, great onsen. Couldnt ask for more The area has love hotels but its not the ryokans fault. However there is an absolutely beautiful onsen nearby.
