Beppu Hattou Onyado Nono Beppu

The atmosphere was significantly elegant compared to Dormy. Tatami-area all around the hotel really feel premium. Decoration was neat and nice everywhere, including ceiling and wall. Room was nice with ample space and good layout. Body soap and Shampoo by Pola were amazing. Staff provided service with great care and fluently in English. Onsen was excellent with so many options. If you were lucky [or patient enough], you could get into private onsen with 7 choices. Each had different atmospheres and types of water. I had a chance getting into one in the morning, which was normally less crowded than at night, and it felt so good being alone and quiet in there. Probably best things were free ice cream, free yogurt drink, free drinks and free ramen at night. Maybe it might be better to start free ramen at 9:30pm just like other Dormy instead of 10:00pm. All in all, I loved the experience staying here. This hotel was so good and fully equipped that, once my family and I entered in the evening of each day, we did not need to step out for any food/snacks/desserts in nearby convenient store [Lawson was just next building]. Free ramen was 10pm, which was quite late. It could be better to start at 9:30pm just like other Dormy hotels [or even at 9pm]

Everything was super nice at this hotel. Clean and comfortable, finishing the day with hot bath was the best part. They offer free coffee & matchas, they are very good. Dinner buffet was also delicious.

Pillow Parking

The private onsen, the great location, the comfortable room size. Mr. Kim at front desk is highly professional and highly effective.

Lots of kids, running and yelling through the halls at night and early morning.

Too expensive. Floor is smelly. Need to wait for private bath.

The location in Beppu is perfect. Just a short walk from the train station. The room was clean and comfortable, my room had a partial view of the ocean. There were some nice complementary snacks in the refrigerator when I arrived. I have tattoos, so the private baths were great for me. I liked the panoramic ocean and mountain view from the lounge, and the complementary ice pops and yogurt drinks. Free massage chairs. The buffet was good. Hotel stored my luggage on checkout day. This is a tour bus hotel. If you stay here, be prepared to flex your schedule around busy times when it’s hard to get into the baths or buffet. The lobby offers complementary Matcha lattes from a machine during certain hours, but you can’t get plain hot tea, except by making it in your room.

Facilities and cleanness

Location is very convenient and central and a very good parking. Private onsen rooms were too few to cater guests during popular hours, especially when they are taking on several buses worth of Korean tourists per night.

We love everything about this place. We wanted to experience a traditional ryokan and onsen bath and were very happy to have chosen here. The onsen bath (both private and public) was so serene and relaxing. The kids loved the free yogurt drinks and ice-cream. And the location is so convenient as it is next to the train station. Truly a relaxing wonderful stay. Looking forward to staying at this hotel chain in other locations.

The front desk staff and restaurant workers were great. Courteous and polite. The breakfast buffet was well worth it. It offered a large selection of delicious dishes. The dinner buffet was good but I had expected a better variety of dishes after enjoying the breakfast buffet. I enjoyed both the public and private onsen. The seven private onsen are on a first come, first serve basis. Unlike other hotels, the private onsen are free of charge. As soon as you enter the front door, you need to roll your luggage over a couple of mats to clean the wheels and remove your footwear before entering the lobby. The person at the entrance providing instructions didn't speak English well and seemed upset when I didn't understand his instructions.

Onsen

Breakfast was incredible. Didn't come with our plan but we paid for it and was worth it. We have been staying at Dormy Inn Hotells everytome we come to Japan for the past 2 years Nothing. Everything was perfect

Conveniently located near the train station. Highway bus stop to Kumamoto/Yufuin is also beside the hotel. Hotel has 8 private onsen and a public onsen. There is unlimited free serving of ice-cream and Yakult drink outside the resting area of onsen. Also serve free simple ramen for supper. The Family Room is separated into 2 rooms, each with own TV and air-con, and shared toilet. Free coffee machine and microwave are available beside hotel lobby. There are also washing machine and drier. Shoes are not allowed in hotel (similar to other onsen hotel) and is stored downstairs locker. Beppu Tokiwa shopping center is withing walking distance. Hotel staff is very friendly and able to converse in English. Private onsen queue is very long around 6pm onwards. But able to use tv to check the queue status. Status of washing machine can also be checked though TV. The breakfast is ok, not fabulous, maybe to cater for local taste. Same items are served daily.

The hotel is very new and all equipments are great. Staff are incredibly friendly and courteous. Onsen facility is great, all the freebies like the popsicles, yogurt drinks, night ramen, and in room drinks and pudding are so wonderful. And they are not that expensive compared to surrounding hotels. Awesome value. None.
