Hotel Arthur KITAHAMA BASE

The staf as always since i have visited before is always friendly and acommodating. The in hotelonsen makes this Hotel very special fo me a s i can just zip down to the spa and relax without haing to go iutside to another loaction, and its' well appointed. Nothing to mention

Very accessible and near train/bus stations. Room is just right and spacious for 3 pax.

The room is a bit small and the variety of food for breakfast can be improved when compared against other hotels with similar ratings.

Room felt dirty, found a few spiders.

The location is good. There were coffee shop downstairs. The hotel onsen was great and clean. The staffs were welcoming n friendly. There was a smoking room with a tv and table n sofa! My hubby really enjoyed it. The room was perfect. Theres a coin laundry and dryer., vending machine. Amenities were provided (soaps, skin care, coffee/tea, razors, etc) Nothing.

It was very clean and neat. Everything was in perfect conditions. I liked everything about it.

Hotel was super close to rail station, it had a friendly staff, provided amenities and more importantly, it had an onsen. Would stay here again! Nothing! Professional staff, onsen and location made my stay in Beppu perfect.

Best location, you can walk from Beppu station within 5-10 mins. The furniture is vintage style, facility is in good condition. You can get amenities at the front. (not provide in the room itself except shampoo, conditioner, shower gel). Onsen is very good! You can have breakfast on 10th floor while glance at Beppu city view which is very nice! Check-in time at 17:00 is quite late and inconvenient, by the way you can leave the baggage at the front before check-in time. (Check-out time is 12:00 but I think it would be better to adjust check-in and check-out time to be faster)

Very good location: Beppu Station is just a couple minutes' walk away, and a brief walk from Tokiwa shopping center or the bay. The onsen (hot spring / public bath) is small but relaxing—just the right way to relax after a long day. The "Amenity bar" in the lobby for toiletries is well stocked. The breakfast buffet was pretty tasty and featured some local specialties, depending on the day. The restaurant is on the top floor, so if you can get a window table, you can enjoy a nice view while eating. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you arrive early or want to leave your luggage after check out while you walk around, there are free locker facilities to keep your stuff. The renovated areas of the hotel are modern and clean. Humidifer/air purifiers in the rooms. Although all rooms are non-smoking, mine was obviously once a smoking room. With the air purifier off, there was a faint lingering smell of smoke. The carpet was not especially clean, and there was a mysterious stain on the wall under the window. Some of the furniture in the room looked fairly old. My single room was also quite small, although this is to be expected from a business hotel. The two elevators are pretty small, and only one of them goes past the 6th floor. If you are trying to get to or from the upper floors (including the restaurant) during busy hours, there might be a wait.

Onsen was incredible amenity. Room was pleasant with some water view. Excellent location from train station. Everything was great.

Location, friendly staff , 2 of which were well spoken in English. Breakfasts were wonderful with friendly attentive staff Dont stay on level 4 . There’s a smoking room, cigarette smoke could be smelt in the hallway and to some extent our bedroom

Very easy to get to, within walking distance from the train station. Thank goodness for coin laundries! Also great to be able to check the time from the TV, along with how busy the onsen is. Bathroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning was a little loud but I think they always are. I think some of the furnishings probably need a bit of replacing, I noticed the desk was quite worn out. Other than that I cant think of anything else, I would stay here again.

The location is nice and staff are friendly. It’s a very cost efficient option! The restaurant was closed when I stayed. I like having breakfasts at hotels so it was pitiful that I couldn’t enjoy a breakfast there.

Really great spot very close to Beppu train station. Short walk to the sea, easy to get buses etc. Staff are delightful. Recommend.

The location was so good, very close to the station and conbini. Lots of nice food options around. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Great facilities and amenities. Would definitely go back and wish we had been staying longer. We (2 people) had booked a double room each but if two people were sharing a double room it probably would be a bit cramped.
