The location was fantastic. I could see it as I got off the train. This made transfer easy. The staff were kind, though English was a challenge. The onsite onsen felt like a treat! The tourism office across the road, in the station helped make the experience accessible as a non- Japanese speaker. The breakfast was traditional Japanese, not many western options.

Probably the most well located hot spring hotel in all of Beppu, you can literally see it when getting off the train. The onsen within the hotel is nice for starting and ending a day. The staff are all very kind and seemed to be genuinely happy. The room was a little cramped and the bed was a little stiff. The breakfast has some western options, but it definitely caters to Japanese tastes much more.

The staff was particularly helpful, Hiba was very kind to me and to wife who was little sick we checked in. They also took our luggage and stored it after checkout for free, something rare in Japan.

Wonderful hotel with onsen, nice breakfast, and helpful staff. Check-in and check-out were super easy. It's located right across from Beppu Station, so I was able to come from Osaka and leave for Fukuoka easily.

Small room, though that's to be expected here. It was fine - nothing fancy but it was what I needed. I paid extra for a nicer hotel after my first night here.

Nice view of the mountains. Close to the train station and convenience store. The staff was friendly and helpful with good English. The beds were hard, making it challenging to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom step was high, so care was needed entering and exiting.

Location next to train station. Room was very tiny. Also accidentally booked smoking room as non smoking couple. The smell on the corridor and surface of the room was horrible. Very mediocre breakfast. Confusing check in process.

Free parking, opposite of Beppu station and many shops & eateries around it. Onsen is provided but it’s rather small & rundown, poor water pressure and cleanliness not JP standard.

Other than the location near the train station, overall the stay was ok only. Is a pretty old hotel and the room is very small. The onsen also quite run down.

The place was nice and comfy, together with the location, the stay is impeccable given the price and feels better (a little newer, a little more spacious) than most in the same class. Most importantly, there was an apprenticeship female staff (of course other staffs also!) who was really helpful. It really makes this stay stand out from others.
