Hallway light sensors are too sensative flicking on and off all night long, we couldn't figure out why we can't have the light off and go to the bathroom in the dark without turning on all the bright lights in the middle of the night

I wasn't able to stay in the Refugio room because of urgently needed repair work, but Christian allowed me to stay in his Loft apartment on the ground floor of the same building at no extra cost, and that worked out perfectly for me. It's a beautiful building with a lot of character, in a very pleasant and convenient location, and Christian is a superb host, especially in terms of communication and making sure all your needs are met.

It was amazing apartment. The place is located in the middle of the old town, Cita Alta and the lower town. The atmosphere is absolutely historic, very close to the Accademia Carrara. Everything was wonderful. There was a small quest to find the apartment and go in the first time, especially if you arrive during evening dark time — so read the instructions from Christian carefully! ? All good!

Location is really good, with quick access to old town and good connection to the airport and train station. Room had everything needed and really appreciated small kitchen that was good equipped. Bathroom was shared but very clean. Very nice stay. I really liked the fact that it was old traditional building so got to experience traditional italian housing :) A little bit cold room for my taste, but owner provided extra blankets which really helped. It is pretty noisy, and the noise is coming from the street traffic. I didnt mind it, just want to meniton here in case somebody is bothered by the noise. Owner also nicely provided ear plugs.

The road noise, but the ear plugs provided nullifies this.

Walls in the rooms are thin and sound travels easily through the windows, the street in front being well travelled in the day. Ear plugs are provided to make up for it. The windows are not drafty, but the cold does flow in especially on the tile floor. In the summer this might be a plus in fall some rugs or slippers might keep feet warmer. The bed was a bit to soft for my taste. A small price for the setting.

Excelent location, the instructions from Christian on how to get there were detailed, it helped a lot. The entire place was very clean. The heating system is a bit loud, but not too disturbing (they provided earplugs, I chose not to use them). I was perfectly happy with this accommodation for my trip.

Perfect location, next to Carrara museum and bus stations to all directions, cafe Perry next to it, is a truly gem. I had a voucher for a coffee with brioche there and taste was beyond all my expectations. The room is modest but with all equipment needed and nice balcony. To renew a towels and bedding probably would help for impression.

I loved the little room! Very cozy, had everything I needed. Well decorated interior, cute place, perfect location. As I was warned by the reviews, it was very noisy, very loud. I feel like Bergamo in general is a very loud city and the noise gets through the thin walls very easily. You do get some earplugs which I really appreciated! Overall, it was okay. The noice was bearable.

I had a single room. Bed was good, ear plugs were very good - I didn’t hear street noise at all due to them. Bath room was good, warm water and toiletteries provided. Room was clean with kitchen facilities inside room - as it was a single room you don’t need to bring lock as room locks. And room had balcony. Super close location to Bergamo Alto. It’s very easy to get to from airport - bus stops right next to hostel. You can check in late also after kl 22:00 if needed

Great central location to the Accademia and citta alta with good bus connections to the train station where Ninas served a delicious croissant and capacchino prior to departure. Bergamo was a delightful destination and il rifugo di Elisabeth a comfortable place to stay, noisy in the morning traffic!
-
Location great, street usually quiet unless a motorbike decides to come down in the middle of the night. Breakfast is at the nearby cafe and although light (coffee & croissant), the place has a nice vibe. Lobby is grand but rooms a little basic. Everything is done remotely (including opening outside door) so you'll need to have a mobile and WhatsApp. Lack of on-site host means you won't be able to leave your bag on the premises after you check out.

Very good

Instructions for self check-in were easy to follow and our very late arrival was accommodated. The palazzo and rooms are beautiful. This is in the perfect location in the city 15-20 minute walk from the main parts but in a stunning Italian street. Bed was comfy and the bathroom was good enough. Street noise is a little loud, lighting is a bit dim. This didn’t bother me too much but the bathroom is not adjoined to the room, you have to walk down the communal hall.

The location is excellent, in between the upper and lower town. The property is in a characterful road close to lots of amenities within walking distance. Getting from the airport to the accommodation is easy, one inexpensive bus takes you very close by. Communication with Christian was easy and friendly and everything went as planned. The room was immaculately clean and well appointed with far more facilities than I had anticipated including a kitchenette with all that is needed. The breakfast provided at a choice of 2 local cafes was simple and delightful with friendly serving people and customers. Bergamo is a pretty and fascinating place. A great stay, thank you. All good
