SURF HOSTEL BIARRITZ

Triple bunk beds left low space for 1st and 2nd beds, and uncomfortable to goin and out. Distance to beach not that short.

Clean, cozy, hot water, great kitchen, nice yard with lawn furniture, easy check-in. Bunk was comfortable and bedding was good. Walkable from the airport. Quiet hours could be posted a bit more prominently in both French and English, perhaps with a note to pack/unpack OUTSIDE the dorm during said hours!

I love the hospitality at this place! Marvin, the receptionist, makes you feel so welcome, and he keeps everything neat and clean. My favorite part of the building is the kitchen, as that’s where everyone gathers to catch up and chat. It’s only about a 20-minute walk from the center, and even on a cloudy day, it was a very enjoyable stroll; it felt safe, even late at night. This is a great spot for solo travelers like many of us because you actually get to meet and chat with people, rather than being the awkward group that doesn’t even say hello. :-D If I had to choose, I would suggest extending the breakfast window to a two-hour timeframe, perhaps from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. I genuinely appreciate the effort Marvin puts into managing everything on his own, and I completely understand the challenges that come with it.

The best nights sleep I’ve had so far. The beds have curtains and an air conditioner in the room to keep temperature the same throughout the night. Showers and toilets were clean and the host was very helpful with directions!

by far one of the best hostels I‘ve stayed at, very sociable + free surf boards to use! quite warm rooms during summer with limited aur circulation

Nobody at the reception - self check in , my bed was the lowest one and it was basically on the ground, I couldn’t even sit on the bed because the bed above was so low, no duvet - only cover? I’ve never seen that anywhere. Spiders in the bathroom. The hostel was very difficult to find, especially at night. The location is too far away from downtown and the beach. Definitely not worth 50€ per night.

Good location for a short stay. clean as long as other people tidied up after themselves. bed was ok. had plugs in the bed area so could charge devices. need to bring own padlock for lockers. .

It was easy to self check in and it was only a half hour walk to the train station The people staying there were loud and rude. They were banging around to all hour and keeping the door open with the light shining in. When I woke up to leave one man yelled at me to change outside so he could sleep when he and someone else kept us up half the night making noise! I know this isn’t about the property. The bed height was so low I couldn’t sit up. I was only there to sleep and I didn’t get to sleep because of the other guests
