Les Frères Ibarboure

Location is great, staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and fairly comfortable. Breakfast was OK, but not at the quality of similar places we stayed. It is marketed as a high-end spa resort but really doesn't have that feel or the attention to detail that comes with it. Anyone at the pool looking straight into our room, so hard to enjoy the terrace or we had to keep the curtains closed. Little details were not right - robes made for (very) small people, shower supplies in separate bathroom, restaurant did not live up to expectation at all.

Breathtaking property in a serene and beautiful area away from traffic. Eatate is superbly maintained and the Michelin star restaurant and the service, and the herb garden, pool and vistas were spectacular addition to the experience. Staff was outstanding. Highly recommended. Loved it all.

Superb stay. Exceptional value. Good size, comfortable rooms. Didn’t take advantage of breakfast, but dinner was of course sublime as expected. Great location too if you are here to explore Pays Basque including inland villages. If I have to be picky, toilet is in an isolated closet like room, which is great actually other than the fact there’s no ventilation. Robes are tiny child size. We didn’t ask because we didn’t have a chance and it didn’t bother us much.

Very nice garden and swimming pool; top restaurant next to the hotel The airco was not working and it looked like it was already for a long time… nobody told us about the defect and when I asked the staff they advised to use the fan; it was very hot in the room; not really what you expect in a 4 star hotel At the time we stayed there, works were done in the garden and at the road next to our room. It was not a relax stay as I hoped it would be…

A bit far from main towns, a car is needed but that was what we were looking for. Hotel is located inside trees, very quite to have some real rest. Our room was big, bathroom is big too and very clean. Enjoyed the balcony to hear the birds. Nothing.

Loved the relaxed and easy going feel. Very friendly staff. The spa area outside is a nice touch. Lovely well kept gardens and nice and light and airy. The complimentary lemonade and cake and chocolates were all delicious. Nothing.

The location of the hotel is amazing. Also, the staff attitude is above the expectations. They are all friendly and helpful. We like the soundbar in the room and in the shower. The view from the room was also great. The breakfast is absolutely worth ordering. It can be served in the room. The small nice gestures like delicious candies, the cake (unfortunately, it is not my thing though) The fridge was broken in our room. Or it was an electricity issue. The fact it didn't freeze. In general, I was waiting a little bit more from the room.

Lovely swimming pool, surrounds by palms and trees. Great restaurant. Very quiet and nice relaxed atmosphere to retreat too after the hustle and bustle of Biarritz. Staff very friendly.

The serenity and the food ! Nice touches with coffee, cakes and lemonade and most importantly they are dog friendly You need a car but it wouldn’t be as quiet and relaxing if you didn’t !
