Courtyard by Marriott Bloomington

Hotel was clean and comfortable. It’s a bit further from campus than others, a bit more reasonably priced, but they charged for parking which seemed unnecessary given they have a huge lot.

Stacy, I believe was her name, the manager who checked us in and gave us an upgrade, was wonderful.

The tone changed later. They avoided my calls. They later emailed me a report stating they would not reverse the charge and I could dispute it with my credit card but they would send my bank the same report. Lee the manager never answered my calls but was happy to send an email to again say they would not reverse the charge. Cooperate Marriott was not helpful either. This is such a scam. If the alarm was tripped the day before someone should physically come to the room at the time to inspect. They did not. There are several items- aerosols, steam from the shower, even a hair dryer that can trip these sensors. The charge is for cleaning and there is no report of any extra cleaning that had to be done after check out. Total scam.

There was no TV service and no one shared that until I called the desk

Very clean facility, very clean and spacious room. Maybe it was just me. But the charge for breakfast was a surprise to me. I hadn't seen anywhere that it showed breakfast that it said it was additional charge.

Great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Besides the bad food and rude bartender at the hotel bar this place was amazing

Room was missing a sofa, there was just an empty space on the wall. Shower must not have been cleaned there was a bottle of used face wash on the floor.

We arrived on Tuesday night. The room we received had a dirty towel in the bathroom. The hotel changed our room without hesitttion. The next day we left by 9 am and came back at noon. The room hadn’t been cleaned yet.

The room was clean, the shower was great! The pool was nice as was the staff. The only downside was having to pay for parking.

My wife and I spent two weeks in the Courtyard by Marriot in Bloomington due to a short-term visit to the Indiana University campus. Conveniently located near the heart of downtown Bloomington and IUB, the Courtyard by Marriot provided superb guest services at the front desk and efficient and professional housekeeping. If we should find ourselves back in Bloomington, we will definitely stay there.

The two guys that was working the front desk in the evening and in the morning were amazing and so friendly!
