Villa Amorena - Adults Only

I’m so glad I chose Villa Amorena for my stay in Bol. After comparing many budget hotels and villas before booking, I can honestly say this was one of the best choices I could have made! What makes Villa Amorena truly special is that it is a family-run property. You can immediately feel the difference compared to places managed by hired staff. Marin is an incredibly kind, welcoming and caring host who genuinely wants every guest to have a great experience. He kindly picked me up from the ferry port when I arrived and also drove me back when I left. Throughout my stay, he was always available, asking if I needed anything and helping with every request straight away. His brother and the rest of the family are just as warm and friendly. You can see how much love and passion they put into this place, and every guest is treated like a personal visitor rather than just another booking. The atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful. Although the villa was almost fully booked during my week-long stay in mid July (around 30 rooms), it never felt crowded. Apart from breakfast and occasionally by the pool, I rarely saw many other guests. There were always plenty of free sun loungers, and it was easy to relax in complete peace and quiet. Even though the villa welcomes families, it was surprisingly calm with no excessive noise, making it a perfect place to unwind whether you’re travelling alone, as a couple or with your family. Breakfast was another highlight. By Balkan standards, it was excellent, with plenty of choice every morning (not the English breakfast though). There were some hot options, such as eggs and sausage, as well as cold cuts, cheeses, plenty of fresh fruits, pastries, and desserts. The homemade pancakes were absolutely delicious - the best I’ve had at any hotel. Even after a week, there was always something different to enjoy, and I never left breakfast hungry. The location is also excellent.

Breakfast: 9/10. Not a lot of available choices but what was there was good and fresh. Location: 10/10. Pretty views from the balcony. Very good restaurants nearby, we especially liked Ranc. Staff: 10/10. Very friendly and accommodating, with an ever present smile on their face.

We loved our stay here & wished we were staying for longer! Perfectly located, a short walking distance to the old town with lots of restaurants. The breakfast was a nice addition in the morning, and all the staff were super friendly, helpful & pleasant. It is a family run hotel, and you can tell they take pride in their fantastic hospitality & service. Thank you again!! We will be back :) Nothing bad to say at all! Everything was amazing.

- The swimming pool is very nice and the sunbeds are comfortable. - Free transport from and to the bus station was great, especially considering the hotel is up a steep hill. - The staff was kind and friendly, and did their best to be helpful. - The room was relatively big. - The breakfast had a nice variety. - The hotel is 20-25min by foot from Zlatni Rat Beach. Fortunately the way is in the shadow of the pine trees and pedestrians only, but on the way back the last part is very steep. The hotel is 10min from the center of Bol, but it's also very steep all the way back to the hotel. - The bathroom was bare minimum and needs improvements and renovations. The shower head was very weak, one of the shower door was about to fall off, there was very little space to put products and toiletries, the light above the mirror was not working. - The towels are very rough and dry, and need replacing. - The AC need to be either repaired or replaced. We set on minimum and it was still too hot in the room to sleep comfortably. - The lift was out of service during our entire stay. - The fridge was noisy. - There was insufficient space to dry clothes on the balcony. - The floor of the room was not clean during our stay, even though we requested cleaning everyday, and cups were not cleaned/replaced. - There are no ironing horse in the hotel and no full length mirror in the room, which was inconvenient. - The coffee at breakfast was not good at all.

The owners were so kind and picked us up at the bus station so we didn’t have to walk up the big hill with our suitcases. This was a big bonus because the hotel is not located that close to town. It’s a good 15 to 20 minute walk into Bol, and about 20-25 minutes to the beach. The rooms are bright and freshly painted, with a nice size balcony, and the pool is a good feature despite the fact that there are no shaded areas or umbrellas. The breakfast was decent with a fair number of options. While our room was quite clean, there was only a thin sheet on the bed - no blankets. When we asked for a blanket, we were given one, but it’s unusual to not have even a thin blanket on top of a sheet at a hotel, even in summer. And there was only hand soap in the bathroom: no shower gel, shampoo or conditioner. We had to ask for it, which for a three or four star hotel is atypical. Most travellers aren’t bringing their own shampoo with them and you definitely want shower when you come back from the The towels were also very rough and small.

Our host Marin was so friendly and helpful, he made us feel right at home. The staff cooked us up amazing breakfasts every morning, we had a great stay!!

Cozy, clean and quiet apartment with great location. Only 10 minute walk to Bol marina. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

Very friendly staff, large enough room with a big balcony, swimming pool was clean and quiet (probably as we went at low season), the city centre was only within 10 minutes of walking distance. The breakfast could be a little bit better... for 2 mornings it was fine but I wouldn't have liked to eat the same breakfast for a week. And the quality was rather average but I understand that they had few guests and it's been low season.

Super kind and helpful. The gentleman offered to drop us to our 6:30am ferry for free!

We really enjoyed our stay in villa Amorena, personnel is very friendly and they gave us very warm welcome, rooms are comfy and very clean.

Great property, very clean. Incredibly nice staff!! It was great getting picked up and dropped off at the port. A little of everything at breakfast. Loved everything!

The hosts were exceptionally nice and friendly: the two brothers who own the place, we had the feeling they would help us with anything we needed.. :) The place was very close to the seaside, neighbourhood was peaceful, rooms clean and beds comfortable.. The only thing we would suggest to our lovely hosts is to bring a bit more variety into breakfast :)

Modern property with excellent service. The concierge provided us with a lift to Bol Port. The bed was comfortable, and while the breakfast wasn’t elaborate, it had everything needed to start the day. Highly recommended! Nothing to report, our stay was lovely
