Nothing. Staying at this place was a nightmare!!! First of all by definition it is not a hotel! And it is nothing like a hotel! There are 8 rooms on the second floor of an apartment building. That’s it. Hotels have staff. Amenities. Reception desk with a personnel to greet you. Breakfast area and maybe even a bar, a fitness center or even a pool. “Hotel” Ideale has none of those. This place uses the Vikey “smart” self check-in and “automation” system. That means you must check-in before you enter the property - on the street - via your phone… RAIN OR SHINE! The check-in on the street means a long procedure on the phone… and then you have to take a photo of your passport on the street in the dark and send it to someone wherever, and then you have to take a photo of yourself to prove that you are who you are (?) while they are watching your from wherever on the security camera. To enter the property you need to follow instructions on your phone in Italian so it’s all a guesswork. And that was just at the entrance gate. Once you’ve reached the entrance door to the building it started all over again. The door was locked. They could have opened the door for you by pushing a button from wherever but they chose not to do that. They prefer for you to suffer through the procedure of the second obstacle all over again to get in. At the reception desk there was an empty chair and a monitor where you could watch yourself on the security camera. There was no elevator. Only a long line of stairs! Once you get to your room on the second floor of the building the aggravation reaches its crescendo. The light in the foyer is activated by a motion detector. The lights are on for about 8 to 10 seconds. You have to keep dancing in front of your door to keep the lights on while trying to unlock the lock that has a code that you are supposed to know but the lock just kept rotating like it was in an empty barrel. It took about 20-25 minutes to successfully opening the door to my assigned room.

Had electricity outage 2 timea in one day the only day that I have stayed there , considering there is no staff present on the location I would have been very difficult to enter hotel if something like that happens before I took the keys that are inside hotel . Have a suggestion put a key box with the key to inside the hotel beside intercom

Nice big room. Good location for station. Checking in a little complicated - no sign of any staff!

Room was clean, location okay but not downtown near the main scene though price reflected this. Automated check-in a big problem and no responses from hotel in Booking message app.I also sent a message days earlier and no response then. We had to call Booking.com in Italy and then call the hotel twice to get be able to check in. Luckily my friend spoke Italian. If not, a much worse situation. Also personal information is online. They ask for front and back pictures of ID and ID next to your face, other data had to be entered too. After completing the first steps, the page for city tax payment would not load, an error occurred, so check-in could not be completed automatically. You'd think that a hotel with complete automation would have top notch customer service, not here. I honestly considered booking another room and losing this booking but it worked out - after much time was wasted. Never had problems like this with other hotels and I am well traveled in Italy.
