Une Chambre chez Dupont

Loved the location with local bakery below, fresh fruits store next door and lots of restaurants nearby. Also loved the high floor-to-ceiling windows that let the light in and opened to see the spires of the cathedral across the street and the jasmine vines that wrapped around the French balcony. Wow! The decor is retro chic but the bathroom is more contemporary which is perfect for me. Perhaps a little curtain at the entry way of the glass enclosure shower stall. A bit struggling with the luggages to the first floor which is actually the second floor of the building with a beautifully curved staircase.

Location, friendly staff, nice room

The hotel is just lovely. It's located at a prime location in Chantrons, on a street many refer to as the most beautiful street in Bordeaux. Our apartment was on the third floor, but it was worth the climb. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom, and the best part was skylight windows that offered lots of sunlight and that we could open for fresh air. The two rooms had individual temperature controls, which was very helpful since my friend likes the cold and I don't. The bed was very comfortable, as was the futon in the living room. It's a very special place. The manager Jeanne, was amazing. She would check in on us every day to see if we needed anything. I had a logistics crisis with my luggage while I was there, and Jeanne was available and helped me arrange taxis, called around to get information, and checked in on off hours and over her vacation day to make sure I was okay. It was above and beyond, and I am grateful she was there. Tips: Uber drivers cannot always get into the Chartrons district since they don't have the entry card and the phone assistance at the gate doesn't always work. Use a certified taxi. And if you don't like stairs, stay at a lower level.

The room was beautiful with large windows overlooking the church and located in an interesting part of the city. Even nicer was staying just above a really good boulangerie! The room was tastefully and originally decorated and was my first time sleeping in a round bed. All went well although i didn't always wake up facing cardinal points. What we didn't understand was that the room was just that, a room, with no hotel lobby associated with it. It was a bit like staying in an AirBnB, which i don't prefer since i like having a hotelier who can give advice on where to eat and what to visit. We didn't meet her until we were leaving the room for our next destination. When we met her, she seemed perfectly helpful and pleasant, but we didn't see her for the duration of our 3-day stay in Bordeaux.

We didn't receive the codes to get on the road of the apartment or the code to get into the apartment, so we had to ask the restaurant staff, who was too busy to help, though he finally did. We didn't have the password for the internet. There was no toilet paper. see above

Very French eclectic. Great location. Easy in and out. Convenient to restaurant, grocery store, bike rental and ship piers. Easy walk to city center and exploring.

Beautiful room with skylights.

The place was super cute and spacious. The neighborhood was lovely with lots of options for food and drink. It was centrally located to everything and nothing was more than a 25 minute walk. Nothing, everything was great.

Location was excellent...in the heart of Chatrons district. Close to attractions and restaurants. Bed was a little soft and not comfortable for more than one night.

The room was a decent size, the bed was comfortable, the location was close to the river and the tram, there were a few shops and places to eat at the bottom of the building The room could do with less decoration (eg the retro pram and coffee table with memorabillia) and maybe a lounge to sit on.

Neighborhood, friendly staff, very comfortable room, the best bakery in Bordeaux is close by. In addition there was a great restaurant across the street(Chez Dupont) Had to climb stairs with luggage. It’s not recommended for people that need elevator to reach their destination.

really attractive hotel in a great location and amazing value

A truly charming property & great location for our party of 4 in the Chartrons neighborhood. Funky decoration in our 2 rooms: Seignouret & Elisée. Seignouret was large & spacious; Elisée had a great 1970s feel to it. Beds were comfortable & bathrooms clean. The landlady allowed us to leave our bags longer in the rooms, which we really appreciated. Elisée has a small 140 double bed & an oculus window that does not have shutter (thus letting light in). Seignouret is on the 1st floor on the corner of 2 streets & so can be a bit noisy.
