Staycity Aparthotels, Bordeaux City Centre

I feel fortunate that I landed at StayCity for 2 weeks. The staff is truly superb and the accommodations and amenities are excellent. My studio was just what I needed and I loved the lively area where breakfast and happy hour took place. I was in Bordeaux to study French and was able to go to the comfortable lobby and work which was such a bonus to me. Many people there are traveling for work so the vibe was perfect for my needs. I really cannot say enough about the staff. They truly cannot do enough for you and are generous with all their assistance. The laundry facility is great, too. It was a great bonus to be able to get affordable, coffee, snacks, and drinks at the bar 24/7 and their iced lattés were the best I had in Bordeaux. I recommend upgrading to a slightly larger studio with a garden view. During my stay, one was not available but I plan to upgrade during my next stay in order to have more space inside snd outside as well. Plus, the inner courtyard gardens are lovely and serene. The area around the hotel is lively but be prepared for graffiti (which I found interesting and quite beautiful) but also for a noticeable presence of city problems in the area near the tram and on side streets not far from the hotel. If you are used to a city, this should not be a problem but it is something to be aware of during your stay. Nothing but keep in mind, the regular studios are tiny which may be a challenge for some guests.

Our room had a very nice view. We valued the excellent AC in the triple digits hot weather. Breakfast was just OK.

The staff went out of their way to make our stay excellent. The space was large and the kitchen was well stocked. We were in a room with a loft bedroom that was impossible to cool to a reasonable level. But the team moved us to another room when it came available.

Clean and comfortable. Wonderful AC in the middle of a heat wave! Nice staff. Very helpful. Great location. Breakfast could have more locally made goodies. Very generic and supermarket quality items.

Nice male staff. Good location and value. Clean, comfortable, well appointed room. Good price for a decent breakfast. Room was a little too small but the cost was a great value. Female desk clerk ignored everyone.

The air conditioning unit was extremely loud. I was woken up multiple times from rattling fans.

Great Comfy room and great location

The Hotel is very well located. It is a few minutes walks to the river and another few minutes walk to all the major attractions. There is a supermarket a 5 minute walk away. The room was large, clean, very comfortable with a fully equipped little kitchen. The room was quiet and very easy to sleep in. I did not use the available breakfast but it was reasonably priced. The hotel has I small gym that could use some weights and an elliptical to make it better but otherwise it was functionable. I had a large bed which was very comfortable. It had a good sixed bathroom and a nice shower. It would have been nice if the breakfast was included in my booking. The gym should have weights and an elliptical. Although the gym is technically 24 hours, the room key does not work for the gym at certain hours so one has to ask hotel staff to assist in opening the gym. However these are minor issues. My stay was wonderful.

Breakfast was limited compared to 15 days of travel. Numbers overwhelmed staff. But great location and good price.

Very clean. The a/c was good. Staff were helpful. Close to great restaurants. Walkable. The layout of the suite. It would have been nice to have a couch.

I booked the studio room at this hotel which was clean and spacious. Bed was big and comfortable, I liked that there was a balcony for fresh air. Kitchenette was useful as well with plates, glasses and a bottle opener. There was a laundry onsite too which was easy to use and affordable. I didn't personally like the location of this hotel as I felt like it wasn't in a safe part of the city. It was easy enough to get into the centre from here but didn't feel comfortable at night. Also because theres not really an internal corrider to the rooms, there would be bugs getting in even if the balcony was closed. Minor inconvenience though. Also minor but a personal preference is when beds are pushed against one wall. It's okay for solo travellers but when travelling with someone it's a bit annoying to share the bed.

The location was excellent, easy self laundry and well equipped kitchenette, always available staff. I reserved a queen bed but got two tweens pushed together which created a painful experience for me ( I have a spine issue and the quality of mattress is a necessity). Staff addressed it and we changed the room , but it’s something for you to check out when you make a reservation.

Nice staff. Comfortable lobby area. Good coffee. The bed was big and the balcony was nice to have. The hotel was really nicely designed and the space was really great! I didn't find that the layout of the room we had was very conducive to a long stay. We were there only 2 nights so it was fine, but there was nowhere to sit (like a sofa or comfy chair). There was one chair and a small table but we are two people!

The hotel is well located, and the staff are friendly. This hotel does not meet the standard of a three star property. First, the duvet cover was torn, and the cover was smaller than the duvet itself, exposing a dirty inner filling. The room had a sour, curry like smell that did not dissipate even after two nights. The shower area in the bathroom had no lighting, making it extremely dim during use. One side of the double bed was placed against the wall, so one person had to climb from the foot of the bed to get in. The kitchen counter also had no lighting, requiring you to prepare coffee in the dark. These are fundamental facility issues.
