Located in Bormio, just 1312 feet from the ski elevators and slopes, Albergo Stelvio offers a sun terrace and free access to the sauna and gym. All rooms are decorated in a mountain style, featuring wooden furniture and wood paneling. Each comes with a satellite TV and an private bathroom, complete with a mosaic-tiled shower, hairdryer and toiletries. Free WiFi and a safety deposit box are also provided. Everything. We booked the 2 bedroom apt and it was a luxury. Amazing hosts, very welcoming, very detailed explanations. 200m away from the center of Bormio, which is a lovely little town. The bus stop to drive us to the ski was in front of the hotel. Extremely clean and comfortable. Such an incredible experience, we will definitely want to stay again here. NA

We had a wonderful week at Albergo Stelvio which is a charming and characterful family-run hotel perfectly located in the most picturesque part of town very close to Piazza del Kuerc but only a 10 minute walk to the gondola (or a short ride in the free shuttle bus). Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and warm and had a beautiful view. But what really made our stay special was how friendly and helpful the staff were, from giving us advice before we arrived regarding a local company for airport transfer from Milan, ski rental and private ski lessons to recommending restaurants when we were there (of which there are many excellent choices nearby) and little touches like preparing us a packed breakfast on the day of our very early departure. If you are staying here for skiing and need lessons then I highly recommend Andrea who is one of the private instructors attached to the hotel - my teenagers who have limited skiing experience on the dry ski slope learnt so much from him in 2 2-hour lessons that they were skiing parallel and with great confidence and enjoyment by the end of the week. We couldn’t have had a better experience for our first family ski holiday and that was largely due to our good fortune in booking a stay at Albergo Stelvio.

Love the alpine atmosphere and style of the accomodation. Very well located in a silent street. Very good breakfast and very friendly staff. Over the bed there was a peace of wood where we both hit our head many times. I would remove it, it is not comfortable.
